Becuase it'll never, ever work. If children want to eat Junk they will. Schools should, and many do very well, educate children on eating healthily.

 

On the face of it, the majority of children have a poor diet due to their upbringing. Banning fast food from school gates isn't going to alter what some people get fed at home.

I agree with Sequenci but perhaps schools should have compulsory school dinners no pack ups etc, the schools should grow as much of their own as possible which could be very educational for the kids too.

 

I dont think it will never happen though ! Although that said allotment gardening and grow your own has just come on to the curriculum

I know some schools police packed lunches, I think that's a cool idea although I could imagine the issues.

 

Most kids eat crap because their parents do. It's as simple as that.

 

Best way to get kis to eat fruit and veg is to show them how to grow it themselves. Works a treat.
