  1. Thanks Brig, appreciate your help. One thing I was wondering - when ICF went bust they would have gone into administration? When they are do they have to write off the debts and if they didnt and could sell them would the administration company have to have had some kind of contractual due diligence to go through ensuring the clients legal interests under contract law were protected?
  2. Hi I have exchanged a few letters with TBI. Since the advice from Brig I sent them two letters, there has been some exchange discussing identity documentation and original application forms which I wont go into and more importantly regarding the main points made here in the forum they wrote - We refer to the above matter and the letter dated xyz...to Kevin Edgar of our client company. Please ensure all further correspondence is sent to ourselves. We are currently awaiting a copy of the county court judgement and once we receive the same, we will supply you with a copy. We believe that the documentation we have now provided you with, proves without doubt that you did enter into the Loan Agreement with ICF Limited and therefore, we trust that we will now receive your proposals for repaying the sum of £xyz... due to our client company. Should we still fail to receive these proposals, we have been instructed to apply to the court for leave to enforce the judgement debt What do you think? Thanks
  3. Thanks for that DX I have moved about 5 times in 10 years, ill look into it and feed back
  4. Hi I checked the credit file to see a default from BT from 2010! They posted it on the file after 3 years and according to Equifax they refrained from posting any information until they cleared up some data commissioner issues and aligned with regulation (apparently) so I was unaware of this action until now nearly 3 years after the event even though I have copies of CRA file for every year since then! It turns out I had postal forwarding at the address for 6 months and still have proof of that but didn't ever receive a bill. I know this would be my word against theirs but I have read in other posts and on other forums its possible to request they remove a default as a gesture of good will under similar circumstances. I recall one post saying they lived in a shared house and moved out reliant on someone else to pick up the final bill when it came through having cancelled their direct debit. Im not sure how to put this to BT, whether in writing or not and if there could be a way of explaining it to them to appeal to their nice side? Any feedback appreciated and any posts I may not have read links to appreciated, Thanks
  5. Guys Have any of you tried the 5:2 diet. Im a bit concerned about peaks and troughs in energy levels as a result and not sure about what to eat if energy drops and feel drowsy during the day? Any feedback? Thanks
  6. I agree with Sequenci but perhaps schools should have compulsory school dinners no pack ups etc, the schools should grow as much of their own as possible which could be very educational for the kids too. I dont think it will never happen though ! Although that said allotment gardening and grow your own has just come on to the curriculum
  7. Guys Just wanted to say the forum is really good and the people here are great. I hope you all get to the bottom of the issues your having. Best regards
  8. Hi Does anyone have any dealing with Imperial Consolidated Financiers Ltd and their PPI? This goes way back. Thanks
  9. Hi does anyone have any experience of QUID?
  10. Hi I used a payday loan about 6 months ago and the process for been accepted was easy but I found a lot of companies are just fronts on the internet and make referrals. One referrer seemed to get about 20 people to contact me on the mobile, this lasted for about 3 weeks and I still get texts from them. Has there been any work on stopping these rogue ones that are fronts?
  11. Thanks I had no prior knowledge of any CCJ at all until 2010 when I heard from Merit. Because they claimed it was 10 years old I didn't worry about it and sent the letters mentioned early in the post. I will go to CAB and discuss with them showing them this thread as detail.
  12. OK I will send the letter. What amazes me is how it sounds like the county court works! I find it amazing to think that I could be taken to court for something with out a notification from anyone at TBI or from the court and not given a date of a hearing to be given the option of providing legal representation to make sure things are dealt with fairly on the day - as has been said the judges interpretation is what counts so without representation to sway their thinking its completely one sided!!
  13. OK thanks for that Tinkerman. I can afford to pay for some specific legal advice and representation and think it would be worth it at this stage knowing what I know based on their feedback in SAR re earnings attachment etc. Can someone recommend a firm to approach for this either that or please give me some certainty based on what has just been said. I need to be a few steps ahead on this.
  14. Thanks again, one the request to York CC to see what has been sent from the other court and to find out about attachment of earnings request please can you tell me how I would contact them? Would I state the claim reference or would I write to them just with my name and request anything they have in my name?
