  1. Have you done a check of the Vehicle history on the Governments Website to see if any of these faults are mention on the MOT even as an advisory? /assets/static/govuk-opengraph-image-dade2dad5775023b0568381c4c074b86318194edb36d3d68df721eea7deeac4b.png Check the MOT history of a vehicle - GOV.UK WWW.GOV.UK Check the MOT history of a vehicle from 2005 onwards, including if it passed or failed, its mileage and why it failed
  2. I have to agree That Companies Insurance Company are working in the best interests of that Company not they person who vehicle has been damaged due to the negligence of their driver of their company vehicle. Get your own Insurance Company involved in this and the one question I would insist your own insurance company ask that commercial companies insurance is: How many accidents has the driver of that Commercial Vehicle had since been Employed with that Company As said wait for UB to pop in to see what they say.
  3. I can understand your idea with the GoFundMe for your daughter as you are just trying to do the best for her. Sadly with Benefits they would class it as Income and it would be taken into account with any Benefit Claim or ongoing Claim. So please be careful
  4. I have completed the Survey and the last two question give you areas for additional information so be as Honest/Brutal about Veterans UK as you want. I didn't have anything good to say about them Please pass this onto as many Veterans as you can to get them to do the Survey before the closing date remember 1st Feb 2023 so a very short time limit before it closes.

  6. Hi Why are you referring to Cars initially then pointing out it is to do with Electric Gates that need an electronic tool to safely make changes. This does seem vey similar to your dunhill topic and you need to stop referring to cars then some completely different item/product which is what you want advice on How long have these Electronic Gates been installed? If you had these Electronic Gates installed what does the Agreement/Contract state about repairs?
  7. Hi SD Ok so pressing the windows key with X at the same time your should be presented with something like the below picture and you just hover over device manager and click it: Once that opens up you should be presented with the below image which is a list of all the device drivers on your computer: Now as an example from that list at the very top look at "Audi inputs and outputs" to the left you will see an arrow click on it and it will open to a another list of the device driver for that area and you should se something similar to below: Now as an example you then on that open list you see Microphone array (Realtek High Definition Audio) hover over it then right click and you should be presented with the below image: Once on that hoover over update driver and click on it and you should be presented with the below image where all you need to do is hoover over and click on Search automatically for drivers. Now you will need to do this for the entire main list as this is a new computer there will be device drivers that may be out of date and need update so that is why I said previously that this may take you a while to do. Once you have completed this try running windows update again
  8. Hi Please be patient as I am sure others will be along to give there wisdom. Your post is very lengthy and in-depth so please give us time to digest your post on how to best approach this one as it is a difficult one. Just quickly that email response for the GP not getting a reply due to that individual leaving there post and that being the reason for no reply, what a load of bull as all those Housing Association Email Addresses in this day and age will be monitored. From that response as they are aware they did not respond to the GP due to that individual leaving and now knowing about it, have they actually responded to the GP? (that response does not state whether they have) Give me a wee bit of time to fully digest your lengthy post
  9. Hi SD as dx100uk stated hold down the Windows key at the same time press X, it will then display a list and from that list click device manager which then open a list of all your drivers which you can then update as I mention in post#108

    GP formal complaint

Hi You haven't really given us much to go on in your post could you please give us a bit more information. With most GP Surgeries if bloods are taken if you haven't heard anything it is as simple as contacting the GP Surgery and asking if the results are back for the blood test. So did they ever contact the GP Surgery to ask if results were back? As these Blood were taken some time in 2020 you need to bear in mind the COVID-19 Pandemic that hit and the restrictions in place but also the NHS had to basically shut down different areas and treatments to deal with COVID-19 to not only protect the public but those in the NHS to keep that service running. (please note I am not defending what has happened here) Is it these blood results discussed at that appointment that raise the possible risk of cancer? If yes to above did they not ask why it has taken so long from 2020 to inform you of this? We do not have a temple letter, you can look at the GP Surgeries website on how to complain but what I would suggest is to contact the GP Surgery and ask that you want to speak to the Practice Manager or they call you back as you have a Formal Complaint. Discussing this with the Practice Manager has to be recorded on record and any investigation if required into this matter with you informed of the outcome
  11. Hi that's good news on SHP now just make sure and do a bullet point list of things you want to raise with them not just about A2 but also SHP actions pointing out the link I posted about SHP Values before they chat to A2. Are SHP aware of your Topic here on the forum which explains A2 actions fully or sorry there total inaction to take responsibility for there failures until the Ombudsman's got involved all of a sudden your getting update from A2. Anything you mention about A2 to SHP you must point out that even if this was during the COVID-19 Restrictions that were in place the Housing Regulations had not been suspended nor were you informed even to dat of your Right to Repair and A2 still had to follow them even if that meant updating you that a timeline for repairing your property had been extended and the reason and your right under the Right to Repair Scheme. (which A2 completely failed to do even ignoring all your letters/emails of complaint in breach of their own procedures/customer care)
  12. Hi I have to agree with dx100uk As with most councils you get your yearly Council Tax Bill which is broken down into monthly payment and if you either decide to pay the full amount or the offer of monthly payment. If you decide on the monthly payments it if your responsibility to keep up these payments and if you miss even one payment the Council then have the right to withdraw that monthly payment offer and demand the full Council Tax Amount. (note: this is all explained when the Council send out there yearly Council Tax Bill for your Property) Even though during the call with the Council a direct debit was mentioned the individual should have got something from the Council that this was setup and if not they should have chased the Council on this. Sadly they are going to have to pay the full amount the Council are demanding for Council Tax and the £95 Summons costs to prevent further cost being added by enforcement action if they decide to employ Bailiffs which all adds further costs. I agree dumping expensive mobile phone contracts, sky tv, luxuries that have dd's that he does not need to have This is an essential Bill that needs paying the same as rent for a roof over your head they need to cut back on all luxuries.
  13. Hi I agree with dx100uk it could be numerous different issues As its a new PC also one thing you need to check is that all your Device Drivers are up to date as well as it could be something as simple as one of these need updated that could be causing the update to fail. Had this on my new laptop with Windows 11 one update wouldn't install with certain error code so checked my drivers and one need updated and as soon as I done that tried windows update again and the update installed. To check your device driver it will take time to go through them all. In the Windows Search Box Type Device Manager them either click on it or just hit return to open it (you should be presented with a list of all the devices installed on your PC. You will then need to go through each individual one. Simply click on the device then right click, then click update driver, then click search automatically for drivers (you need to do this for each one and make sure your online while doing it)
  14. Hi There is no precedent on claiming back rent but at the same time it would be difficult to claim as you would need a lot of evidence to be able to even attempt to go down that route. As for the Gas System Condemned by an Independent Surveyor (were they Gas Safety Registered and do you have a report from them?) If the above was after the Council issued the Hazard Awareness Notice then you need to contact the Council again specifically who issued the Notice to inform them of the Gas System being Condemned and also if no works have still taken place to resolve the Notice. If the Letting Agent is acting on behalf of a Landlord in renting the Property the buck for all of this stops directly with the Landlord
  15. Hi Well you explained your disability to this company and your reason that you require communication in written format only (I assume email would have been ok). You made a reasonable request due to your disability and the Area Manager/Company Head Office should have accepted your request. . Irrespective of that Companies Policies it does not negate there responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 Please Name this Company
  16. Hi Currys Customer Service seems there to put customers in a position for them to keep your money as long as possible in there Bank Account collecting Interest for them before they actually give a refund. I just over 1 year ago had a very similar scenario to yourself except mine was a Fridge Freezer, stock was in my local store, manager confirmed but head office said no, then order cancelled, low and behold it has increased in price by £50. Trying to get refund was exactly like yourself until I threatened Legal Action then next day refund in my account. Get on Currys Twitter and Facebook and post what you have here
  17. Hi Sorry for your situation. 1. Does your Father own the Property outright or is it Mortgaged? (if it is Motrgaged then your Father renting the property to you they would more than likely have needed to get permission from the Mortgage provider) 2. Do you have evidence of these payment to your Father? (i.e. bank statements etc.) 3. Do you have evidence of the agreement made for these Payments? ( i.e. Texts, emails recorded calls) 4. What type of property is it and what rent amount is being asked by your Father? 5. Who pays the Council Tax for the Property? 6. Who pays for any repairs required to the property? 7. Have you checked the Land Registry to see who owns the Property (bear in mind there is a cost to do this search so be aware of that) /assets/static/govuk-opengraph-image-dade2dad5775023b0568381c4c074b86318194edb36d3d68df721eea7deeac4b.png HM Land Registry - GOV.UK WWW.GOV.UK We register the ownership of land and property in England and Wales. HM Land Registry is a non-ministerial department. I know you may be attached to the property but IMO you need to have a good look at the different Housing Association/Trusts in your area and fill in there application for Housing this way it get you on the Housing List (due to the games your Father is playing) and if you move it is important to keep all of them updated with a new address.
  18. Hi Just thought I would pop in to see how you are doing and hope you had a good xmas & new year. Due to the Xmas period you may not have got a response to acknowledge receipt of your complaint yet so wait until next week to see if you get anything from them. Hope your keeping well
  19. Hi Well Done on sticking with it and your win. Now as this was a PS5 that has an in built SSD (I assume you wiped the drive before selling it) even if you did the issue I see is UPs and Packlink would both be unaware of this so how did they dispose of this item securely to ensure any Data on that PS5 was wiped/destroyed in compliance with DPA/GDPR. Even after your win you have not been told how they destroyed your PS5 with an in built SSD. So the question is has UPS complied with the DPA/GDPR in the destruction of that PS5 with In Built SSD or have UPS just thrown it in a skip to be disposed of in landfill. IMO I would be contacting UPS again and asking for full clarification as to how they disposed of your PS5 due to the In Built SSD which due to the DPA/GDPR requires them to dispose of this item in a secure manner to be in compliance with those Acts/Regulations Another avenue IMO to hit them with Please wait and see what others think.
  20. Hi I am afraid there is nothing you can do about this as the supplier installing the new electrical network would have got planning permission for these works for the road being dug up, diversions etc. It is essential works that are being carried out and will impact everyone in that area until the works are complete. You should more than likely have got a letter from the company carrying out the works explaining whats being done/for how long and a customer care number if any issues. As for compensation even being disabled sadly the answer is NO I am Disabled myself and a wheelchair user and last November 2022 my entire street was dug up the entire month as the Gas Network were replacing the old metal pipe with new pipes right outside the front of my property, road dug up, barriers in place, difficult for me to get out even in my car from my driveway. That was until I politely point out my issue to them and they were very helpful in putting a metal plate over dug up area, moving barriers when I needed to get out and back in. Would I be entitled to compensation NO as it is Essential Works and they had Planning Permission from the Council
  21. Just bumping this to see if the OP can give us an update?

  23. Hi SD If your new system is running Windows 11 It could be that it is set in S Mode which will only allow applications to be installed from the Microsoft store only. You can change this S Mode if it is in that very simply just go to this link and make sure and click on Windows 11 then follow the instructions to switch out of S Mode: Switching out of S mode in Windows - Microsoft Support SUPPORT.MICROSOFT.COM Learn how to switch out of S mode to install apps from outside of the Microsoft Store or to upgrade to Windows 11. After you have done the above try to reinstall 360 Total Security. (it does work on Windows 11 systems had it on my own but if in S Mode it wont install until you switch out of S Mode following the instructions above then after just reinstall)
