Hi all,

My energy company went bust a while back and I’ve been transferred over to EDF.

I rang EDF last week to query why I was in debit to them and they responded saying that I was only paying £80 an month and was going through, on average, about £180 worth of energy every month for the last 3 months.

Now I have a smart meter and I monitor our energy consumption. I’ve never once seen us exceed £30 pound a week so decided to check our historical data.

According to my smart meter we have spent £312 over the last 3 months. A far cry from the £550 that EDF told me we’d spent.

I don’t really know how to proceed with this now.

Are they lying/made a mistake or has anyone else had experience with something similar?

Any suggestions or advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.

thanks again

josh

Might be an idea to send them an sar

and to also create a log in for your online portal for your account.

dont forget standing charges too.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
