  1. Hi, I’ve been recommended to come to this community for advice. I’ve recently received a letter from UK search limited (debt collectors) out of the blue, which I never heard of them before in my life. They are saying I owe this energy company (Utilita Energy) who is the client they are collecting money for an address that I have never lived in. I called Utilia Energy to tell them I never ever lived at that address and someone is using my name and they told me to contact UK search limited who going to deal with it, which I did and they raised a dispute about the wrong identity. A week has gone by and I received another letter today saying they been told by the client (Utilita Energy) to proceed with the debt collection as they received a copy of the tenancy agreement with my name on it that I never seen or signed before. It has no signature, and no identity proof and told me to respond back within 21 days or they will proceed with the debt collection. This is stressing me out a lot. Any advice is much appreciated! Should I ignore them or should I respond? What should I do? I don’t want to be harassed for a debt that’s not even mine. See attached images. Appreciate the help I can get for this. Thank you.
