robway are operating for TW

 

they cant instigate anything

 

so DFF cant do anything for 'their client' Robbersway

as they don't OWN the debt.

 

usually water companies go direct for a CCJ.

they don't farm things out.

 

I have my doubts all this debt is actually real

I think i need to just get a couple of harassment letters off to Robbersway and p2c for him asap, then take it from there. Shall I just base contents from letter kindly advised from library ?

 

On another issue as this is also a bit of a learning curve for me aswell, are all utilities priority or non-priority debts ? I am just thinking ahead for him, as maybe an opportunity to assist him in drawing up a repayment plan for any other creditors that he may have.

Just to confirm that I have now obtained last two relevant Thames Water statements from my brother.

 

On checking the relevant figures, it seems to all tie up with arrears amount stated. I have drafted up a letter to RW for him and will get it sent off today. Shall I do the same for power2contact or will letter to RW be suffice ?

Also please see attached - Looks like another Debt collector has been involved. He was getting regular phone calls aswell, nearly everyday threatening doorstep visits, court action etc

 

Can someone kindly advise are all utilities priority debts ?

OK thanks dx and will ask him tomorrow - On looking at the statement he gave me, he probably paid that amount due as it seems that the latest arrears is a later period.

 

I am just concerned for him that somehow the latter needs to be addressed to avoid any court action. That's why he made a one-off payment to RW as I think he panicked.
