12 months ago I took out a logbook loan but fell behind with repayments my repayment was £75 per week but as I got paid monthly I agreed to pay £500 a month which I did for 2 month but then got letters from them saying charges had been added for late payments because I had not paid weekly the cost of the loan was £5700 for borrowing £2000 I have paid back £4000 but in total they have added £1800 in charges which include 2 visits from the baliff to be fair to him the first time he visited he said he hated this company himself and if I gave him £100 he would tell them the car was not at the property and he would ring me when the next visit was due so I could move the car. ive now hid the car and it will not be found I have contacted the loan company asking to set up a new repayment plan of £300 per month if the will cancel some of the charges but they say the charges stand. sorry about this being long winded but this is what I need advice on I have been approached by a guy who says he will buy the car he has the same car and says he will use my car for spairs only so the car will basicly disappear nobody else will be lumbered with it would my debt with the company become unsecured so I could then add it to my debt management plan payments maybe then the loan company would drop some of the charges I want to pay them but not all the charges and intrest they have added any advice i would be grateful
