Wrong lane

hi recently enterned into awrong lane which had a sign of Buses and taxis, will i get points on my licence and will i get a criminal record for this. can any one please advise i am bit tensed as this might affect my job. Regards

Depends on a few of things. Was the restriction in force at the time (signs will indicate when the bus lane is 'live')? Is it controlled by CCTV? If the latter it will normally be a PCN that is issued by the LA thus meaning just a fine but no points. Also, there will be no criminal record as PCN's are not dealt with by a court.

no points on licence and no criminal record

the most you will get is a ticket for driving in a bus lane

Just check the bus lane signs. SOme will allow drivers in them during certain times of the day. Others disallow it completely at any time.

Where did this occur? If it was not in one of the major cities, then the vast majority of the rest of the real world don't have CCTVs monitoring the bus lanes 24/7 anyway.

This occured in Romford -western rd at 10 30 PM

10.30 pm?,most bus lanes are open to drive in romford at that time,there usually restricted till 6.30pm
