I thought you could use the advanced s/sheet to claim interest at the prelim stage?

The s/sheet works it all out for you. My interest came to over £140 with charges of £1718.

I don't mean the 8% S69 interest.

No mate you add the interest when you are filing your MCOL...

Right dudes, still no word and MCOL due to be filled on Tuesday. Off down to the big smoke on Wednesday aswell and wont get back til saturday, is this a problem? will i need to check stuff after i file it and should i wait til i get back you reckon? i wont have any internet access so if i do need to check on it i wont be able to!

hiya David....once it's issued they willve 14 days to acknowledge, so long as yo can net access before then I wouldn't worry - if they haven't aknowledged it after the 14 days then you have to enter a judgment asap.

I can't tell you when you'll get your money David, I'm still waiting for mine. I wouldn't bank on having the money by Christmas though, as it can seem that even when people have been offered the full amount, it takes a while for the money to clear.

I filed my MCOL two weeks ago. They acknowledged it immediately, and I have heard nothing since. Waiting is the most horrible thing. I keep wondering if I've missed something and have never been so disappointed not to have received letters from the bank!!

Anyway, good luck with the claim, together we'll grind these b*****d banks down!!!

patience, people, patience! date filed + 5 days = date served. if acknowledged date served + 28 days = judgment. time and again, the third week of the mcol you get a request for a breakdown of charges from dg. then an offer of less than you claimed, then at the last moment, a full offer (although there are variations on this theme, it is the way most seem to pan out). don't worry that at almost 28 days they file a defence, this like everything they do, is meant to a) put you off and b) buy them more time. good things come to those who wait! so abba, your turn is coming soon, david a good way to start the new year if not in time for xmas.

I know, patience is a virtue, but it's nerve racking waiting for them to contact us. Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed. In fact, there's no need, as they are gonna pay up.

Think positive David - it makes all the difference (just like on Deal or No Deal!!!)

Hi David,

Great, glad to see your gonna go for it !

I have filed my Prelim, LBA and just done my MCOL, the nervous part is that I have heard diddly squat, zip, zilch from the bank all making me think:-

I have I used the correct address (8 Canada Square)

Did they get the letters (track & Trace says they did)

Will they pay up, or will I be 'the one they defend' (they havent yet, so why pick on me)

My MCOL has cost £120 (£3,600 claim) and I can ill afford to spalsh out £120, BUT . . I HAVE to believe in the sheer number of folk in here that have sucess stories, so can only assume that they are so overwhelmed by the number of claims that they can't reply to all.

I am now quietly hoping the actually don't even bother to acknowledge the court claim -I then win by default, but I guess they will submit a defence on the 23rd hour !!

I HATE big organisations ripping off the little guys - power to the people !!

And this is a BRIALLIANT site - tons and tons of advice, great people too

Anyway - good luck !!!!!!

Steve

Hiya mate, gald you got it all sorted. Lateralus's tinmescales seesm to be thereabouts. You'll get your payout wuthin the 28 days - that's waht they like to do, but they do cut it a bit fine!!

As for the daily interest - did you get the calcualtion? It's the amount without the 8% interest times by 0.00022

Hope this helps! :)

Hi Steve mine has been EXACTLY the same claim as yours by the looks of it. I've also been worried and indeed annoyed by the lack of communication from HSBC. I see it as an arrogant and disrespectful oversight on their part to not even bother to fob me off but Uniboy's help has been absolutely crucial to me getting this far and will be a huge reason why I get my money back, although im bricking it a bit about the daily interest now :-(

I saw that too !!

Total claim (claim + 8%) x 0.00022 = daily interest

So I did same as you

One thing, just been advised that you need to post a copy of the schedule of cjharges to the court (Northampton in my case) quoting your claim reference, so they have a copy

(only applies if you submitted your claim using MCOL)
