  1. Gone are the days where there used to be a man in his little hut at the carpark entrance.
  2. It's going to be an interesting note to keeper then.
  3. They normally try twice. I had this when I taxed my car. When setting the DD up on their web site, it said that the first payment would be taken out 17 days after application for it and it did on the 17th day. What they didn't tell you is that they take two months worth - annoyed. My DD bounced but I got a text from them saying they'll try again in a few days time, only after which they would cancel it and you couldn't use DD any more. Lucky for me I was able to cover it 2nd time round. Still got an £8 bank charge though.
  4. Don't forget to confirm with the court that the action has been stopped.
  5. A little update. We're now going to try to send in a claim to HSBC for the PPI on the loans that got consolidated. Wouldn't it be nice to stick one on them.
  6. On the 26th ring the court and ask if anything has been received. If not ask that this is passed to the judge to strike it out.
  7. Thought I give you all an update. After having to submit several forms including a N171 in december, it turns out that MKDP LLP failed to return their N171 by the date and then by the extension given them. She has now received a letter from the court stating "Upon the claimant having failed to comply with the courts order dated 18 December 2013, the Claim has automatically been struck out". She's buying me lunch today as a thank you. Boris.
  8. Nice. The thought of debt collectors piling up..like their letters!
  9. I was 21 and had a hospital appointment. I cycled a lot then and had an interesting trip skirting round all the fallen trees.
  10. My surgery operates a phone based triage system, so if you want to see a gp that day, the receptionist records the request and the duty doctor calls you back. To assist the doc, the receptionist normally says, "Can I ask what it's about", and they have no problem with being told, "I'd rather discuss this with the GP". The GP then calls you back, normally within the hour and, if the GP thinks it necessary, the gp books the appointment with you or gives you advise. I'm happy with this as I feel that I am not waiting my GP's time if it's something that can be done over the phone.
  11. Hi Guys, can anyone help me with a problem. I am looking for a paper copy of The Washington Times to use as a prop for the production of Annie I'm putting on, but living 300 miles west of London, I'm finding it very difficult. I do have the number for the single copy office of the washington times, but that a US one and wanted a contact nearer to home. Any ideas? Boris
  12. I've got codeine phosphate/paracetamols which taken the edge off it.
  13. I've had my op. The worst thing was the local anaesthetic, but the op was very quick. The LA wore off at 7pm last night and by fudge it hurts.
  14. Guys, I'm going into hospital tomorrow for a Carpal Tunnel Release operation. Have any of you had these procedure, would like to know what to expect. Boris
  15. I take it you also have business insurance for your car. If not and Mr Policeman stops you, you could lose your car.
  16. I think he needs a Sat Nag. I've got one - the wife. She's always telling me where to go!
  17. Sat Nav 101 - Common sense overrides Sat Nav instructions. Unless there are signs to the contrary, you stay out of bus lanes, unless you are driving a bus.
  18. I've not yet had the pleasure of ATOS yet. I did try for DLA but was rejected.
  19. I can sympathise with you. MTX can be debilitating. I was on it for a year and had all of the side effects, with the nausea being the worst. I'm on sulphasalazine now and it's not much butter side effect wise.
  20. This story just makes me want to weep Daniel Pelka murder: Mother and partner given life
