Hi everyone, I'm thinking of starting an action against Nationwide, who I've been with for nearly 18 years now. I know I'm not their best customer but through some oversight by myself I've just realised 8 direct debits have 'bounced' since the beginning of the month and the thought of coughing up over £200 for the previlage is leaving me slightly sick. I've got no idea how much Nationwide has charged me over the years for returned items but with this sites help I hope I can find out.

Just one thing though before I start, is anyone aware of any legal differences between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK in relation to the Acts these banks are breaking. I'd hate to start something and find out that we are a special case...as we are with most other things?

Any advice would be greatfully received.

Best regards,

Hello and welcome from a fellow ulsterman

the only difference between here and the UK is the maximum you can claim for in any one small claims court action-ie £2000 in NI as compared to £5000 in UK and (i Think)£750 in Scotland

you will find plenty of help here, and all the best in your journey!!
