Back in March I received a letter from police to give name and address of a driver who was speeding. It was 12 miles over speed limit. Out of panic, I stupidly gave a random name and address hoping it wouldn’t come back to me. It did and they are now asking to post details of the nominated driver as they have been unable to find him.

my question now is rather than continue lying what are the likely consequences if i were to come clean now so I can prepare myself emotionally? Saying an error has accrued and I was the one driving that particular day

Please be kind, I know I messed up big time and I feel really bad as it is

thank you so much

maybe you dont have to admit the lie?......

simply state that as a responsible vehicle owner you now accept that it defaults to you and hold your hand up.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I wouldn't admit to the lie, that would be seen as perverting the course of justice and is a criminal offence rather than just a driving offence which you're dealing with.

Just say you can't contact the person either, (you've lost touch with them or they're ignoring you) and you're aware the offence defaults to you as the registered keeper of the vehicle.
