Pls anybody that has had anybody at the door bout tv licence get your fone start video record ...... pls look at the videos youtube.com search bbc bafoons or licence theres a legal way to get them of your back , the 3day job a worker is highest paid but nobody nos wot she dos ,During covid thousands canceled it & payments , The videos worth the watch , it even tells you wot company is used to get 28% ,Few months ago bbc asked goverment for 5% raise to cover how much woz lost , Even stating over 65s would be fair game its DISGUSTING DISTURBING .......Good Luck hope ok i put this ere i wozt sure YOU DONT NEED DEAL WITH BALIFFS

If people don't watch live TV, on the TV Licencing website there is a page (quite well hidden), where there is a declaration that can be filled out stating that a licence is not required because of reasons a,b,c,d etc.  

 

Once this is done, they leave you alone for 2 years, but ask you to notify of any change before the 2 years is up.

 

If you don't do this, they hassle you.

 

The inspectors have a sneaky tactic of knocking gently on your front doors, so you think it could be a friend or neighbour. People then up open up the doors and are caught watching live TV.

they even gave me a refund too! but still get monthly letters... scan keep shred. ignore. that was 30mths ago.

Never paid never will, I have a box folder full of their computer generated threat letters, there's about five in total which are simply sent out at intervals, occasionally they change the font and colour and send a completely different format, but they all result in the exact same reaction, file away for a rainy day.

They are so useless. For years , in our old house TV licencing were convinced we were 2 separate houses. Despite having paid our TV licence, we constantly received threats under the previous name of the property to pay up, face fines, prosecution etc etc. 

 

I rang and wrote to them to explain, but still the silly threats rolled in, nobody ever came to visit.  I was actually quite looking forward to actually explaining in person what idiots they actually were.

Just engage with them. If you should have a license, you really ought to buy one. I haven't had a TV License for years, don't need one, never watch TV.

Fill out the disclaimer on the TVL Website and you are OK for two years. Never had anyone check.

Why should you have to fill out a disclaimer? you don"t have to fill out a disclaimer to say you don"t have any other kind of licence.

I have not paid for a tv license since 2007 officially but before then it was never paid but l had not told them where to go.
