Hi there.

I hope I’m posting in the correct place.
Basically we received a letter from HMRC stating: ‘ the DWP has told us you are getting a disability benefit for your child. This means you may have also been able to get the tax credit disability element for them’.

It then gives us a break down of a rather large sum owed to us, and states the one off payment will be paid to my account within 21 days.

The week after we received the letter, my partner called them to check what’s happening as we hadn’t received the funds, and if anything to check it the letter was legitimate.
They said that as the letter was addressed to my partner, but the account details where mine, it flagged up on their system to contact us to insure this is ok.
The Issue was then rectified, details confirmed and we should receive within the next 10 days.

well we are now 22 working days from the date of the letter, still no payment. We contact HMRC who said they have referred our case to the payment department to call us... who never do!!

Just haven’t a clue what’s going on??!?

Anyone else experienced anything like this??

Keep Following them up by phone, but at the same time I would get onto the Tax Credit Website and request a A Subject Access Request (SAR) which will give you full transparency into what has actually been going on with them internally re your claim.

We could do with some help from you.
