The case is a 61-year-old Chinese woman living in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. On 5 January 2020, she developed fever with chills, sore throat and headache. On 8 January 2020, she took a direct flight to Thailand from Wuhan City together with five family members in a tour group of 16 people.

The traveler with febrile illness was detected on the same day by thermal surveillance at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), Thailand, and was hospitalized the same day (8th Jan). After temperature check and initial assessment, she was transferred to the hospital for further investigations and treatment."

 

 

A year later there were still no temperature checks in the (UK) airports of the worlds 5th richest Nation after 10's of millions of people came into this country from the far east in the first few months of that year alone.

I think I posted this last year. The doctors didn't know what it was at the time but a French patient was ill with Covid in December 2019, it turned out later.

 

My OH knows people who were ill with it in January last year but it wasn't followed up properly.

.. Including the person who couldnt be found after apparently bringing the SA variant to the Uk and who apperently didnt fill in the forms correctly .

Now didn't/doesn't the covid rules bar travelling and staying at anywhere except your main home.

Now we know that Cummings/Jenrick et al totally flounced that and moved between multiple 'homes' at will without any penalty

 

So whats the current laws re gadding about multiple homes in the UK and or abroad aside from the apparent foreign home exclusion clause?

I think he's been abnormally conciliatory with the EU, but maybe he's leaving the Rottweiler stuff to Raab.

 

If they can't keep vaccinations going, people might start concentrating on what's gone wrong in the last year or so. Interestingly, the Independent's poll says more people don't trust him than do.

In a two-page letter, federal health officials and an independent panel of medical experts accused AstraZeneca of cherry-picking data about the effectiveness of its Covid-19 vaccine.

The company had said that based on its U.S. trial, the vaccine appeared to be 79 percent effective at preventing Covid-19. and after millions of doses being injected into people, it seems the best AZ can come up with in response to the US agencies critiques, is an extra 49 people to add to their pitiful number of (it would seem very carefully selected) test results.

 

AZ should be called Johnson * Johnson (Johnson squared) if the name wasn't already taken by a seemingly far more honest and open company

 

Seems the EU likely to reciprocate UK vaccine exports to the EU in EU exports to the UK

The EU isn't banning exports - just applying reciprocity - and the UK is 10 million to zero in credit ...

 

Astrazeneca said in a statement that when the new data was added, they found: “The primary endpoint, vaccine efficacy at preventing symptomatic Covid-19 was 76% occurring 15 days or more after receiving two doses given four weeks apart.”

 

Down from a previously claimed 79% - add a few more eh?

Deloittes are being paid hundreds of millions for their involvement in Test and Trace. Including writing ministers' answers for Parliament.

 

As the article says, isn't this the equivalent of marking their own homework? Also a worrying precedent on what civil servants are supposed to do.

and it would seem that rather than just (sic) 10 million doses, over half of the UK's vaccine inoculations (21 million doses) came from the EU ...

and Zero from the UK to the EU

 

So Bozo's 'great UK success' seems to be dependent on the EU - and dependent on cheating them

So the the statement he backtracked on would seem to be the truest thing he's said.

 

So if India and the US are only allowing vaccines to go to favoured local countries

(Including vaccine producing materials)

and the EU intends to reciprocate the UK's practices ..

Some figures I saw earlier [hope it wasn't in your article, TJ, I haven't read it all yet], said that companies in the EU have exported 77m doses of the vaccine and Europe has kept the balance of 88m doses.

Had my first vaccination today, which was quick and painless. No side effects so far.  Had the AZ one, which most seem to be given now.

 

The issue we may see is that the current vaccines may only offer a really good level of protection for about 4 months. So we will have a constant conveyorbelt system of people having booster jabs, which is going to mean production capacity has to be increased significantly and the vaccination centres will be permanent until the vaccine is improved to a once a year jab.

so with a full blown sanctions war with the EU on the cards, wheres the second doses of the O/AZ vaccine coming from?

.. even 12 weeks on .. if it isnt out of date due to new prevalent mutations by then ..

 

I understand that there are pfiser doses frozen .. allegedly .. maybe

 

South Africa SOLD their O/AZ vaccines to other nations  when it proved ineffective against that mutation (which is in the newer UK variants) didn't they?
