Hi and Welcome to CAG

As it says "22nd September" that may be the transfer date of the refund into your account, IMO I would give it until the 23rd Sept to see if anything has been refunded into your account by them.

Also check the account details they have refunded the money too are your account details

Not a problem at all we are here to help

Just keep an eye on your account as you know the amount of refund due as it could go into your account anytime right up till midnight on the 22nd Sept that's really why I said give them till 23rd Sept to see if that amount has been refunded.

If it hasn't then complain to HMRC: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/complain-to-hm-revenue-and-customs

moved to HMRC forum

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

  • 3 weeks later...

Hubby received one of these as well. Went online to sort it out - what a game that was as well.

One of the questions asked was.. "Is the address that HMRC have on file the same as the one your Bank uses" ? Well no it wasn't. HMRC have persistently refused to amend the post code of our address to the correct one the one that is on the Post office Data base, the electoral roll, etc, etc.

So we tried to change online - further question asked - when did you move to this address. So, we popped in the date we moved in 1998 and a message popped up "this is not the date that we have on file" ? Dont see why not, we know when we moved here - it was Mother's birthday so not a date we would forget. Checked that we had not made an error in typing.. nope.. tried again, same message.

We were then advised that we need to telephone them to speak to an advisor and this would mean that the refund could not be transferred to bank account.

Finally got to speak to a human being - who said that they would make the address change and organise a cheque.

Instead, we receive a further letter advising that there is a refund due.. and .... still using the same postcode that is .. wrong !!
