Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me dealing with Wacom.eu

I bought a Cintiq from them which is still under guarantee

unfortunately, it only worked for a day and went completely dead.

Wacom offered to send me a refurbished one or alternatively repair my one but I have to cover the postage cost in this case.

My problem is that the item in question costed about £1600 and I do not want to accept a refurbished model as I think it would be extremely unfair to get a second hand machine in return for a fault that was inherent in the machine to begin with.

Any help would be very much appreciate it,

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for your replies!

The item was bought from the wacom store online.

It has two years warranty and it was bought almost a year ago but remained unused until recently.

Wacom knows that because we had to contact them to be able to install the software before using the machine.

Once the software was installed everything looked fine.

The Cintiq was on for a few hours, turned off and was never able to come back to life.

Payment was made to Wacom Europe GmbH via paypal

you certainly cant dictate what happens

even in this country after 14/28 days under the online rules etc.

even under SOGA too.

its their choice sadly.

how did you pay paypal

the only option you might have is section 75

if you pay PP by a credit card.

no harm in asking you card provider if chargeback applies

not 100% sure on business debit card transactions via paypal

and this far down the time line

Might do. My main problem is that I need this type of equipment at work and it horrifies me to realise how unreliable it is considering the huge tag price. I guess it forces you to buy an expensive extended warranty.

Thanks again for the help!
