  1. Hello stu007 Thank you for all of your help unfortunately, I am really struggling even more due to disability it has got a lot worse. we still have a hole in kitchen ceiling but leak is ok. I did phone up the housing company as I wanted to know what was happening with regards to the above. I was told nothing would happen with my complaint about discrimination and I would not be contacted back even though, I spoke to the manager which was very good. I do have the phone call with the manager somewhere recorded due to my memory for my own use. I also have phoned them four times as I wanted help with how much rent I had to pay. I did receive one phone call that I missed and phoned them another two times at least but sill they have not contacted me. Eventually. I did get someone to kind of help me. I also asked about another complaint that I put in years ago where our property was not given new fences like all of the rest which they have not looked in to. I also recently sent them a basic letter to data protection as they were keep sending sms messages but had no response to that. I will try and get my partner to look in to this as the way I am every thing takes me a very long time to do. I don’t know how this company gets away with this I am awaiting further help I may have to go to the main mp
  2. Hello thank you for your reply. They have eventually been out on the 2nd of February to do the bath. We were not informed about Right to Repair. I have still not had a response from them apparently their customer team was going to contact me five days later regarding my complaint which I do have proof. They are also meant to be investigating when the staff member said to me a that my disability was not a good enough excuse to change a different appointment. since then it has been discovered that I now have a physical disability which can be proven. The housing association is beleave housing. I need to contact them as I intend to take it to the housing ombudsman. They have also not attempted to repair the hole in my ceiling. I appreciate your help thank you
  3. Hello I am looking for some advice, my partner rent our property from a housing association and have been having ongoing issues with them doing a proper repair on our bath waste pipe. When have a shower or a bath, the water comes though the kitchen ceiling as the bath waste pipe must have a leak. They have attempted to fix this at least three times or more. They have never repaired the kitchen ceiling either but the repair did last longer the last time. The other day, my partner shouted that there was water coming though the ceiling while I was in the shower, I phoned them straight away. I was surprised when they said they can come out Thirty Five days later. I phoned the emergency line three days later and was told within two hours they would be out. They never showed up and never heard from them. I contacted them again and told them that both me and my partner are unable to have a shower or bath and even our sink goes in to the main bath pipe they said they can come out but not until nineteen days since i reported it. i decided to contact my local councillor as this is discussing. Sure enough, I received a phone call the next day, but unfortunately missed it. I returned the call and ask for the person to phone back, but nothing happened. The next day I phoned again and told the person that our councillor had contacted them, and she said I can't see anything on the system. I told the person that my partner and I have disabilities, my partner's being physical and mine affecting my cognation, my partner's affects sanitary, so she needs very regular baths. Also, where the water is coming though the kitchen ceiling, there is an electric extractor fan very close to it and i was worried in case that was affected. I was told, yet again, they don't have any appointments, but it would be passed on to the planning department. I mentioned that I should go to the press, which she did not like, and said wait until I hear from the complaints department, which can take five days. I was lost for words and was struggling to function and think, while on the call I mentioned that I needed an electric inspection appointment changing this is a routine electrics inspection which I don't have an issue with. When we moved in the property it had just been rewired, so it has not been five years since the test. The way I think, I need to know why. I mentioned I had no issues with the test. I just needed an electric inspection appointment changing and needed a little bit extra time. I told her it was due to a hidden disability, and I am disabled, which I was told "This was not a good enough excuse" to change the date. I was very upset hearing that I asked to speak with her manager which she refused and when she heard that I was getting distressed she changed my appointment anyway. I did phone back the same day to make a formal complaint regarding this statement, and it's currently under investigation. In regard to the bath issue, I have phoned the council Environmental Health, they said if it's not privately rented they can't do anything. I have phoned citizen's advice and was told to raise a complaint. At the moment when the first appointment goes ahead, it will have been fifteen days and that is only because I spoke to the customer services team leader due to being told by the adviser my disability was not a good enough excuse. I am sure that it's against Human rights, but my partner did read if you have a working sink that's not the case. The issue is the sink I am sure it goes in to the main bath waste pipe, so we may get water though the ceiling even from that. I would appreciate any advice or guidance what to do from here, thank you for your patience
  4. Hello I am after some guidance Does anyone know if it is legal in the uk to record sound on your domestic cctv. our neighbour has a shared path that goes past her gate leading to the other neighbour steps. The camera only show her garden and some bins belonging to the next house and maybe people s feet when they walk past. I looked on the ico site and it said “Has my CCTV system got an audio-recording facility? Audio recording is very privacy-intrusive. So in most cases where householders use CCTV, they should disable audio recording” The issue is the lady is disabled and has captured on cctv someone saying he could kill her and is being intimidated on occasions. the lady really needs audio. does anyone know if the cctv is not breaking gdpr or data protection act then can she record audio ? The above statement says in most cases. I wounded if there was any way around this. For example if she was threatened could she then switch audio on. I know the system has two way audio built in. If the audio only covers her boundary is that ok. if audio has to be turned off could she use a mobile phone to record this happening or a camcorder or a dictaphone doesn’t make any sense to me. thank you for any help

  6. Hello I am looking for some advice please I have a hidden disability and get financial help but I am really struggling to do even basic tasks. It’s having a big impact on my long term relationship. I need some sort of worker that can support me but I don’t know where to go. I phoned the council and they said they don’t do that. And speak to mental health but I tried and they don’t return my calls. At the moment I am really struggling with my health as doctors won’t listen. I am only in my fourties’ and have some sort of cognitive issue sometimes even simple tasks challenging. I don’t know where to start I know there is help out there because people I used to know had it. i appreciate any advice thank you
  7. Hello I have just signed up for two gym memberships but they are both for 36 months. Con reading the contract it says we can cancel in twelve months but would still have to pay months left minus our money already paid in advance. what I was wondering is we have not even used the gym yet but noticed the contact mentions distance selling but dont know if I am covered as I only phoned up to book a tour. my main issues is I have a hidden disability and I am impulsive. I also never realised my medication I currently take can make exercise dangerous. My partner also has a health condition which may be made worse by exercise To be fair it’s only fifteen pounds per month each but 36 months did not seem right. I am wondering if because we have not used the gym at all if we can cancel it. I don’t think I can use distance selling in this situation as we had tour but not sure.
  8. Hi people I bought some shopping for under ten pounds on my contactless Monzocard. The next morning at around six o’clock in the morning. I got a notification from monzo that my account was now overdrawn. I checked and noticed that my Tesco transaction had been processed twice causing me to be overdrawn. I am aware that Tesco had a payment issue in the past. but this had been resolved. I phoned Tesco customer services who were very professional. The gentleman told me, I had a monzo card and I never even mentioned monzo. I explained what happened and he advised me this is not a tesco issue and monzo are full aware of it. Apparently it happens all of the time. The adviser even told me a man could not even go to work due to going overdrawn. I contacted Monzo and they even admitted they are aware. They said We're aware of an issue between Tesco's payment provider and Mastercard which is causing some duplicate payments. We're working with Mastercard to try and resolve this issue directly. I have looked on the internet and monzo have had these issues for quite sometime. Maybe years. I then received a message saying my complaint would be escalated. Then a new message appeared saying the complaint was closed down and they would pass me in to a specialist team for a overdraft. I am baffled as to why they are trying to give me an overdraft for something that is not my fault. All I did was buy some shopping with my own money. I think this double charging issue needs to be resolved I need to bring this to people’s attention and to protect others. People could easy not be able to eat or afford gas or electric due to this. what I need to know is would the bank regulator know about this or the ombudsman. this issue can’t keep going on surely they should make customers aware Thank you any advice would be much appreciated.
  9. I have just looked at the iPad and the pressure marks are mainly on the left hand side also at the top and bottom. when I took the iPad to the shop it had the original button in with fingerprint id working, but the button would not click it also had a new rubber gasket. Thank you for all of your help with this I will email the store and tell him I want it sorting out I have loaded an image of my screen
  10. Thank you for your help the iPad is a iPad 5 2017 cellular model they cost around £235 second hand. When the iPad was taken in to the stop there was a top glass fitted but it was not glued down and there was no damage to the main lcd and it was clean. The shop owner has tried to help as every time he has to change the top glass screen. but now the button does not work at all and is very loose.this is because he has not put a simple rubber gasket on. As for the lcd screen there is permeant damage from clamps being applied to the screen this was caused by the store. The only way would be to replace the main glass and bottom screen and button. The iPad worked fine before. I just don't se why I should have to settle for an iPad that won't or look as it should.
  11. Hello I am looking for some advice please. my iPad screen got cracked I decided to try and repair it my self but the new glass was faulty. I decided it was best to pay to have it fixed properly then decided to take it to to a local repair shop who claims to be certified by apple (Trained by ) apple for repairs and uses apple parts. the shop owner says he would fit a new apple screen not after market one and a new home button this would cost £80 I agreed and returned to pick iPad up. The home button was working fine and screen was working however he had got adhesive glue on my mail lcd screen (under the glass) and you could see it. I told him I was not happy and wanted it fixed properly as there was no adhesive on the lcd screen before repair. he says that it can happen I thought we all make mistakes and asked him to fix it again. second time I returned to the shop the screen was much better but there was a very small bit of adhesive but it was hard to see. I noticed that now the main home button was very loose and moving around I told him that I was not going to use it like this. It even got jammed under glass when I tried to use it. his reply was that the reason is that he has not installed a rubber gasket as the replacement button does not come with one. also now my screen has bleed (pressure marks) where he was clamped the screen down too hard. I even spoke to the apple store and they confirmed that no shops was authorised to replace apple screens and the reason my screen has bleed now was he has clamped it down with a lot of pressure. I have my receipt for the screen. I am Just not sure what to do as he can do repairs but won't be able to fix screen pressure damage and my iPad will never be the same now. I am not even sure if he has used a proper apple screen that I paid him for. does any of you know what I should do as I was going to speak to trading standards but not sure on next step to take Thank you for any help or advice
  12. Thanks for the replies people I spoke to the council and they said we should not be put on universal credit but the job coach said we would be. the coach tends to not tell you the truth looks like I will have to find the dwp internal guidance and prove him wrong he will probably be trying to reach more targets Thanks again for replies people
  13. Thank you for taking the time to reply. The only thing that would change is the house number. the postcode is the same its the same type of house in the same street
  14. Hello Everyone I am currently on a joint claim for jobseekers allowance my and my partner are going to be moving only a few doors down the jobcentre coach says that we have to claim universal credit if we do move. I don't trust them and think they are not telling the truth we would rather settle in first. can anyone tell me if they are telling the truth? I found a document that's called (What-triggers-a-claim-for-Universal-Credit) and it looks like we don't but still unsure Thank you for any advice
