I enrolled in a long distance course around 18 months ago. The service given was extremely poor. My first tutor left and I was not told so I kept chasing him for feedback on my work. My next tutor's knowledge of the subject I had enrolled on was virtually non existent. She failed to reply to my e-mails and when I pursued her for some advice she e-mailed me with just one or two confusing sentences. :???: I eventually passed the course (PGCert) simply because I persevered on my own. I owe them half of the course's fees which I am refusing to pay out of principle as they did virtually nothing to help me. I have complaint all the way to the Head of Education and, although everyone seems sympathetic and understand why I am angry, the bottom line is that they will not send me my certificate unless I pay them the full amount that I owe them. Does anyone have some advice on what to do next?

Many thanks

What evidence have you got in the way of paperwork to support your complaint?

Do you have the terms and conditions for what you signed for ?

Was this an agreement regulated under the Consumer Credit Act ?

Can you say who you made the agreement whether there are any third parties involved ie finance companies.
