That's another thing that can vary. Mine was about half hour from when I walked in there to going back to the car. But it'll totally vary. Just keep in your head that anything you're not totally sure of, say exactly that. It wont be sorted tomorrow, highly unlikely anyway, & it's far better to say you dont know than try to appease them (if that's the word)

With these interviews keeping cool really does pay off.

Hi lilred. I agree with Jadeybags, it's probably not going to be as bad as what you're conjuring up in your head.

You're doing the right thing. Get this over with and you'll be able to move on with the rest of your life. We're here for you.

Good luck and please let us know how it goes as soon as you can. Thinking of you.

HB xx

it went better than i expected, because of the mess my head was in the dates were all wrong to what i though initially. will have to pay back what has been over paid which i will find out in a few weeks, and if there is any caution or anything like that ill find out then.x

Sounds like mitigating circumsances so get a solicitor asap, just listen to what they say at the IUC you dont have to answer remember "you do not have to say anything" if you dont have a solicitor, I think the solicitor will go for mitigating circumstances if it gets as far as court.

Flippin eck didnt read the second page so sorry all. Yes we went for an IUC which lasted about 15 mins with the lady doing all the talking we just listened as we thought this was best. Benefit was reinstated and I must say the DWP were very helpful with this although, the local centre that had done the interview were not very quick in returning the paperwork to the central office of Newcastle but once someone got on the matter they could not have been more helpful saying they didnt know what the interviewer was up to and apologising for the fact. I hope this poor person has his circumstances taken into account they clearly need to be. I also think it is brilliant that his new employer knows, this must be a real boost to confidence.
