Hi

I own and run a garage in Birmingham, i wanted to go on the good garage scheme, but when I looked into it, it was totaly a fake system owned by Forte additives, that is just used to sell you expensive forte fuel and oil additives during servicing (the garage has to buy forte products to stay on the sheme) which your car most of the time just does not need and indeed can cause problems in older cars, this scheme is not a independent guide and indeed there rep told me any bad reviews would not make it to there websites, most of the garages i know just post there own reviews, please do not get conned by this bogus scheme..

pleeeeeaaaase shell out the extra and go to an audi or vw specialist. i dont care what anyone one says they are the only ones worth bothering with as they are used to dealing with customers who know more than how to kick the tires.

I don't agree with that, independents like myself give a lot more to the customers, most cars that come to us for servicing etc, have not had the things like pollen filters and so on changed for years by main dealers, i spend thousands and tools and diagnostic every year and give a great full service at a much lower price, using good oe parts , but refuse to have some company like Forte using some fake scheme to push unneeded oil/fuel treetments etc on consumers,

totally agree, by specialists i mean independent specialists. in my experience you get the best of both worlds

and im fully aware that the 'good garage scheme' is an out and out con.

its just my experience, i dont trust independents and i trust franchises even less.
