  3. fully admit to being terrible with my finances, my only defence is that ive been in employment constantly since leaving full time education so ive never come up to short. I took out a replacement loan 2 years ago to pay off a £2900 loan i took out a £4000 loan over 3 years My question is as im in the forces full time am i entitled to any of my loan protection back?? I have had loan protection ever since the first loan back in 2001 and never missed a single payment ever. I also seem to recall a lady in the Glasgow branch of h.s.b.c telling me once that i shouldnt be paying loan protection being full time in the forces?? Any light on the matter from you intellectuals is much appreciated
  4. Thank you all very much for the advice i will follow the light/link
  5. Thanks lamma, pedross and David, I have no idea as to the ritual, but i did hear something along the lines of 14 days, however......................... I purchased the car 8 days before the offense (new car bad luck) that in mind Dvid how do you think i would fare, sending them the letter worded as you mentioned? Thank you very much for answering
  6. Thanks pete. and theres no need to thank me. i love these green and pleasent lands as much as everyone thats all the motivation i need. As a marine im under the royal navy and the unit pay office isnt that most helpful at the best of times, but like i said when i went in for something unrelated a year or so again i remember someone commenting on it being mis-sold, but that was before id heard of the macca that is C.A.G Thats the reason i was enquiring. Thanks for answering

  9. Green and mean clearly a parking warden. dont you ever get tired of being hated?? Ever think perhaps about getting a worthwhile job??
  10. sounds like a recipe for lot more parking 'ahem' attendent in accident and emergency to me
  11. Quick one for the extremely helpful boffins on here. I recieved a letter on the 14th of august informing me that i had failed to adhere to the speed limit on .... road on the 13th of may. The speed limit was 30 im accused of 40. i cant remember even being on the road in question and i have not seen any visible evidence (a photo etc) I must have been speeding for that i hold my hands up. But ive had a clean license for 8 years now and im pretty upset that its going to be ruined by a moment of 'madness' Im pretty sure it was by a mobile unit Anything i can do? Thanks very much for any sensible answers
  12. totally agree, by specialists i mean independent specialists. in my experience you get the best of both worlds and im fully aware that the 'good garage scheme' is an out and out con. its just my experience, i dont trust independents and i trust franchises even less.
  13. isnt that the point of the original thread? as the guy was questioning wether it would be cheaper to use mobile instead of home broadband. so clearly he has the choice. isnt it frustrating when people rant irreverently
  14. WHOA am i the only one who has a gripe here? avoid all usb dongles if at all possible. certainly dont get rid of perfectly good broadband within your home. ALL usb mobile internet is an absolute nightmare in terms of service and operation. anyone saying otherwise has intrest in those companys. end of story. ive had 3g and vodaphone. you normally get 3gb to use monthly which is next to nothing unless you check emails and thats it. i and most other people ive spoken to on various forums experience the same peak performance in the first few weeks which tails off to a dire weak and slow service after that even when used in exactly the same location as before. then you'll get your bill which will be at least 3 times what you expected it to be. and the break down will be vague. you'll have to go through the ridiculous customer service epic, to get information on what has cost so much. of course thats when the usb mobile is working, actually gets service, isnt broken and assuming you havnt stamped on it in a fit of rage. please please please keep your home broadband, its a saving in the long run, you get absolutly nothing for free especially in the world of mobile internet providers.
  15. totally agree, if theres 2000 pounds worth of wear amongst that lot you must be using ferrari parts. im an amatuer but those are all things you can fix yourself. get a haynes manual, look on youtube belive it or not there are alot of instructional videos there.
