so you think its accepitable to run a business when the following incident happen i think not, if you were in that that persons shoes you would be left shaken what a silly example. if i had a shopping trolley and i forgot my money, i would put item back or ask them to hold it aside, this cannot be done with petrol. either way, the attitude of that person was not on. mistake was made when the driver forgot his wallet, and even if they did not return , police would have handled that nicely..

name + shame. use power of social media and question tesco on facebook. this is really bad practice. i had similar situation with sainsburys but they were really good and understanding, i came back within 30 mins to pay, i think i toped up £50 and paid £30 cash because i left my card at home.

a year later? why not cancel payment and leave it.. because obviously you have budgetted your account quite well and not been overdrawn surely?

OP if you went to any retailer and seen a product (laptop) and being charged at full price, and then you know tht someone else used it, etc how would you feel? not everyone would be happy with this, so they would expect a discount , a very heavy one indeed. why would any retailer accept a return on a used item, and just because the customer doesnt like it? i think pcw made right choice, and any other retailer would probably make same.. JL return policy It's important that any unwanted item, unless faulty, is returned in a re-saleable condition. We'd expect this to mean that you've kept all original packaging and labels, and that it's undamaged and unused Argos return policy Most things we sell are covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee, so just return them to us unused, in their original undamaged packaging, in a saleable condition, with your receipt and we’ll give you a refund. and in your situation with pcw and currys, very simular to above, but its 21 days. if every retailer did decide to return used items (and not faulty), then all would prob end up like comet ..

op clearly stated reserve online > collect in store. this is not dsr issue. its customer not happy with product. even though they collect in store- could have inspected display models before purchasing. its been opened and switched on, but not faulty, why should any retailer accept goods back just because people dont know how to use it? unless its faulty its diff story

KnowHow Manager - extremely rude, wish to complain
joka007 replied to dunkdriver's topic in Currys/PCWorld/Dixons
usually they would class this as world wide -
what make is it

did the help you then??

it is currys problem to resolve. but samsung led tvs (not plasmas) are serviced and repaired directly by samsung. not passing buck , but currys dont repair it.
-
i dont think you been told conflicting information, you were just ringing at a time where the tv was being transported from the delivery to the repair centre which is not done in 5 mins. be patient and wait for them to ring you for update, or contact ceo team to tell you same.

Faulty TV - Small Claims Court 22mts old
joka007 replied to PrimalScreen's topic in Currys/PCWorld/Dixons
if its known manu fault would manufacturer website not show this? what make/model is this OP? if you had followed currys advise of £95 fee, they would have done the firmware update (as its cheaper than offering deprecation credit) and refund the £95 i would suggest emailing ceo of company -
@curryspcworlduk Whatever Happens Sold me a void policy
joka007 replied to fazzer1109's topic in Currys/PCWorld/Dixons
i think its impossible for any company to sell a void warranty, so can you expand on whats happened and why are they rejecting a repair, assuming thats what your trying to say. plus with words like or you wont get no where. -
what is your preferred outcome?
-
Im bit confused, your reciept is your warranty what details do you have for the purchase did you take out the whatverhappens with the ipod or on a separate date has it ever been repaired before also is this issue resolved?
-
really? so what about the whole idea of -after 6 months its up to consumer to prove its inherent fault. can you show me few success stories of customers getting a replacement fridge that is nearly 6 years old without paying a extra penny
-
if you read the OP she/he wants refund now, are they going to wait 6 years?
-
hi, you mentioned something which could support your claim. you are asking currys to return because its loud- that is not a distant selling regulation or a 'change of mind issue' that is a fault issue, therefore if you report this as a fault within 21 days, you can get refund. can you advise what make it is.

Toshiba laptop dead at 13 months, PC World will not help
joka007 replied to sticko1975's topic in PCWorld
Hi toshiba warraty states that WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS ANDDISCLAIMER Any System that has been damaged or rendered defective (a) as a result of use of the System other than for its normal intended use, http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/images/en/warranties-insurance/WarrantyWeb_EN_UK.pdf.pdf most of currys /pcworld products are for 'none commercial' use unless its registered as a business via pcwb.co.uk or business account because you mentioed its for 'business' thats their get away... and if its recorded in their logs, i would suggest t/s or cab or even via smcourt. -
hi, whoever told you, told you incorrect or missheard. basically £90 assesment fee, tv goes in to their repair lab. then they confirm fault. if fault is manufacturer- then they will fix, if no fix the a 'solution' PLUS refund. if fault is ussage and none manufacturer, then no refund + a cost for repair, if you refuse then tv returned unrepaired
-
is this resolved

hi, i think you are missing some story here. how old is your laptop and which repair policy do you have. some Wateverhappens has 21 days some has 28 days... you mention you left LT on 17/10 and was sent back to store on 1/11 with no fix- what was the reason from 1/11 to 17/11 thats 17 days - what was the delay in this repair- why couldnt they repair between those days the data recovery has no connection- or cannot be used as excuse for "over 28 day" and last question i have is,tis happened in november last year, its february now. do you have the laptop? why was this not addressed before, why are you addressing this now,
