Has anyone had any success in claiming the £49.50 'admin' fee back from Yes loans.

I paid them in March, but the loan they found for me was at 44% and 1/2 what I asked for! The said a rate of 12.9% on their paperwork.

I did take the loan (had no choice)

I have sent them a letter, but they say because I took the loan, the don't owe me a refund. I could have found the loan on the internet myself!

Any advice please?

Hi Tiaposy,

I'm no expert but, if their paperwork said 12.9% (do you have the papers) and the rate is 44%, you have a reasonable complaint - Either with Yes Loans or the lender.

Surely you were told the APR before you agreed to the loan. If you were told and then you took it, you have no cause for complaint.

Just my opinion.

We could do with some help from you

Not sure I have paperwork.

My complaint is they tricked me into paying them £49.50 by saying they could get me a £10k loan for 12.9%. In the end I was offered £4,500k for 44%. I was desperate, so took loan, however they have hardly fullfilled the contact and I could have found the loan on the internet myself!

  • 8 months later...

Good news & very unexpected.

I wrote to Yes loans last August and they did not reply so I phoned them and basically they told me I had no chance!

So i was most suprised to receive a chq for £44.50 yesterday (which I believe is less the £5.00 they can legally charge) - totally out of the blue! So if you have been 'conned' by this company, write to them as you will get your money back eventually!

I applied for a Loan from Yes Loans and in the end i refused their offer. They continued to telephone me despite me refusing the offer to try and offer me more loans.

After a massive argument with one of the team leaders they agreed to remove my phone number from their system and a week later i received my arrangement fee back.
