Late Fees

Hi,

 

Im new to this site. I recently paid off all my credit cards, one of which was an Egg card. sometimes i couldnt make payment and was charged £25 as people are problaly aware.

 

I am wondering if there is any chance I can claim back all the lates fees i ended up paying? I would estimate about £500 in total i paid EGG in late fees. remember of course that i have now paid them off everything.?

It is my understanding that you can, yes. Anything up to 6 years back regardless of whether the account is now closed..

many thanks for that. I still have the account open. what exactly do I say to them?

 

I was thinking something like " hi you owe my late fees as its illegal to charge them" or something like that

 

where can i get the right information from?

Hi Matt,

 

Have a read through the FAQs and the library. Course of action, templates etc all there. Need to start with DPA request for list of charges unless you know exactly how much they have levied.
