Grand living all,

I hope this is the right place to post about our loss of business because of parcl2go

29 days ago, I sent a letter before court to the complaints team at Parcel2go.com.

In May 2023, as a business, I sent a parcel to another business customer in Germany incl insurance. The customer tried our services to decide if they wanted to do further long-term business with our company. Great opportunity it was for us but that opportunity got lost when parcel2go and its partners failed to deliver the good to the business.

The chosen service was the fastest we paid in order for the customer to receive the order quick. We did everything in our power to please that business customer, however, when it came to parcel2go to do their bit, they failed costing us long-term business opportunity.

Parcel2go and its partners  (the delivery courier service) claimed having contacted the German buyer as well as us the sender to inform them and to inform us that their package was awaiting custom clearance. The buyer confirms having received no contact from parcel2go and its partners. We also have not been contacted by parcel2go.

We checked all emails, spam and nothing from parcel2go informing us of anything. Parcel2go provided a picture of a statement that stated 'recipient contacted for custom clearance. The buyer asked to be provided with proof of letter or email content or date of phone call as they confirmed that they never received any correspondence from the courier service or parcel2go.

Parcel2go said they cannot provide content of the letter/email because of GDPR. We also asked parcel2go to provide us with the letter/email content showing that indeed they contacted us too.  Both the sender (us) and the recipient made phone calls, live chatted and emailed parcel2go asking about the whereabouts of the package and proof of letter and emaiil content. The tracking number was also misleading us.

We do not believe that we (the sender) and the buyer were ever contacted. Moreover, whilst the package was in Germany sitting there according to the tracking number, we made various live-chats / sent various emails to parcel2go asking them not to return the package to the sender but to deliver it.  After a few weeks,, the package was returned to us

Parcel2go have replied to our letter before court with the following:

Good Afternoon ..........

Should you wish to take this further this is your own prerogative however please ensure they are aware that you agreed to our terms and conditions prior to making payment, and you have been advised correctly on this matter.

https://www.parcel2go.com/terms-and-conditions

8.10 Refunds will not be offered for consequential loss.

8.13 If a Consignment is Returned to Sender, we shall not be liable to you under any circumstances for any loss caused by us.

This will ensure you are providing the correct advice should you feel grounds to escalate.

What are your thoughts? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you

you got the parcel back so why are you going after P2G?

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Also please can you post up the letter of claim which you sent – in PDF format.

You should understand that the loss of business sum which you are trying to claim is not recoverable. You would actually have to lose the parcel and you would be able to recover for that declared value – probably nothing more than that.

Post up the letter of claim
