Trying to get rent credit back after mutual exchange **RESOLVED**

Last month I did a mutual exchange  and left Town & Country Housing in T Wells.

After checking my rent account I found I was £175 in credit.

I have rung and emailed 5 times since then trying to get the money refunded to me.

After countless promises that it will be refunded and hasn't I have raised a formal complaint.

All rent was paid via my card through the Allpay App, would I be able to ring me bank and do a charge back for the money or will I have to wait until they finally pull their finger out?

Before going down the Bank Route IMO as you have made a Formal Complaint on this matter you need to let that run its course as they need to follow there complaint procedure and you should have had a response within 5 working days with a Complaints Reference that they were looking into the matter if not get onto them.

 

When I do this even if I use my own Housing Association online complaints form I always follow it up in writing so they can't get out of it

Putting in the formal complaint did work as they finally paid the money over paid back.

Luckily now I should never have to deal with such a useless HA ever again
