Can anyone please help or suggest how i might get this resolved?

2 dec - Candy washer dryer ordered and paid for.

9 December - machine delivered, but even though I paid for the old one to be removed, installation of the new one, along with delivery, the team just dumped the machine in my daughter’s hallway. The council had to take the old one taken away and my neighbours had to help me carry the old one from the house for the council to take away.

10 Dec - Online chat - to complain that team had neither removed or installed as paid for. no transcript of the conversation received.

Team refunded £20 removal and arranged new install. First date they could manage was 23 Dec.

23 Dec - Install team came at 10am and just told us they couldn’t touch the machine but did not give a proper explanation as to why, but it was something about the pipes.

24 dec - i tried to contact Currys but could not get through online or by phone.

24 dec. - Got a plumber at cost of £70 to come and look at the pipes in case there was issue. He confirmed there was nothing wrong with the pipes. He did not touch the washer dryer, just inspected the pipes in the house.

28 dec. - Contacted currys online team who told me they couldn’t help and I had to ring Candy. Telephoned Candy at 0920 and they told me that they could not help as I didn’t have a care plan and if they sent an engineer out, I’d be charged a minimum of £75 call out plus fixing charge. They directed me back to currys. To note, I didn’t realise Currys had given me Candy’s external number until I rang the number. Call to Candy lasted 9 minutes at my own expense on an 0330 number.

I rang currys internal team back again, got transferred to AWS who blamed the previous team and arranged another install.

31 Dec - Install team arrived and connected the washer dryer. However, they started the washing machine part but explained that they couldn’t check the functioning of the dryer and left. put on a laundry wash and dry, but only the wash worked.clothes were left wet.

4 Jan - contacted Curry’s via telephone team on 0330 6780365.

Agent Sam arranged for an exchange. I will hear from them within 24 hours about time and date.

Again no transcript of the chat again even though i put my email address in at the end as directed.

9  jan - still have heard nothing from the team about exchanging the machine for a new one. And the machine is still not working.

We have had to use the local launderette since 9 december which is 2 miles away.

Formally reject the goods and demand a refund, do a chargeback if you paid by credit card.

Give them a limited time to come and collect the faulty machine and say after that period it will be left outside at their risk.

Never ever buy a washer dryer and never buy Candy - they are rubbish.

It may well be but it is the quality of a candy machine. But I'm afraid that distracts from the issue which really is the quality of customer service from Currys.

Making threats to leave the machine outside is not a good idea if you don't intend to go ahead with it .

Fortunately it would also complicate the position .

Much better to charge them storage .

We can help you with this. Have you written anything to Currys about this yet?

Have you found an alternative source for a machine? I suggest John Lewis .

If you have a second machine at your home, do you have a place to store the first one while this matter is being sorted out?

Currys will not remove the defective machine without them confirming for themselves that the machine is not working.

i paid for them to install it and they only confirmed the wash worked, not the dryer part, so surely it’s on them to pay for an engineer to come back and do what the team should have in the first place.

I’m at my wits end. I have a machine that doesnt function and currys want to charge me for them to fix. I have confirmed all along with them that it has never worked.
