Hi!

You guys helped so much with my previous debt (which I had the letter from the DCA that it is unenforceable) so thank you!

I have a £440 (now £600 according to the letter) debt with network 3 for a phone contract I stopped paying when I moved abroad in 2018. I haven't engaged with the DCA except to clarify my address, and haven't paid anything since July 2018.

They have sent a letter from Overdale on behalf of Lowell - 'Notice of Acting' - is this the same as a LoC, or should I wait for a LoC?

If I do get a LoC, is the process for mobile phone payments different?

Thanks!

  • dx100uk changed the title to Lowell/overdales - Mobile phone debt

not a letter of claim no then.....

do you know how much of this debt is made of the monthly fee of the remaining contract months after you stopped using 3?

99% i expect.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Okay great thank you I'll wait for the LoC

I think I owed £200ish for 6months remaining which then jumped to £446.

The 'estimated' total is of course bullshit and is £603... with solicitor/court/judgement costs to try and scare me; I assume.

you owe nothing...

ofcom and the fca are both down upon record as clearly stating any remaining monthly contractual charges until the end of a contract ,whereby no service was provide or access was removed -  are unfair.
