Hi all just after some advice I’ll try and keep it short.

I sent an iPad parcel through Evri where I printed off the label myself and dropped off at post office.

A few days later the buyer is saying they have not received.

I checked out the app and they had an issue locating the address which was a quirky one to be fair.

They shared a photo of the box in the couriers hand with his gps coordinates very close to the address.

Fast forward three weeks and endless email comms and they are now saying they have lost the parcel ‘after thorough search’ lol.

Obviously I want to get the full value of this item back but I didn’t insure.

Any advice appreciated- maybe formal notice of complaint as first blow?

Thanks all

Start off by reading lots of the stories on this sub- forum relating to EVRi and especially follow the EVRi link to understand the principles involved.

If you do a thorough job of reading it will take you at least a couple of days.

Come back here when you are finished because by then you will understand the steps generally and we can take it from there.

you dont ever need the insurance.

as long as you declared the full value to packlink or evri...was this sold thru ebay?

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Yes it was sold through eBay

Actually as I recall I did buy some Evri insurance for about £8 which only covered me for £200 max.

They wanted nearly 15 quid if I were to cover the full eBay selling price of £360.

I’ve not engaged with Evri since they told me they’ve lost it earlier today

The important thing is the declared value.

You will only be able to claim for the declared value.

What was the declared value?

Bought insurance to cover £200 but sale price was £360

If the declared value was £360 then that is what you can recover.

I hope you will have done enough reading by now to understand that the so-called insurance is simply a trick to make more money but also to deprive people of their rights
