PCN is incorrect. **CANCELLED**

Hi,

 

Received a PCN for a entering a yellow box junction, it shows CCTV footage from camera 178.

 

After a little detective work with Google maps it is obvious that this is sited at another junction a few miles away.

 

As the PCN is clearly wrong can I contest its they cannot re-issue a corrected PCN for the same contravention.

Doubt it, just a typo or admin error 

Doesn't remove the fact the offence actually happened??

If you are sure that the video of your vehicle in the YBJ  is not the location of the YBJ named on the pcn, then you can contest the pcn on the grounds that it is the wrong location.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate that YBJ’s are there for a reason. 
 

in this case my pal kindly collected me from a London hospital, he hasn’t driven in London for 40 years, he pulled forward to let an impatient van turn left behind us and put his front wheels in the YBJ.

So I feel obliged to pay the fine but I skint so obviously would prefer not to.
