Hello all,

I live in Buckley in  North Wales where the Welsh government are trialling a 20 mph speed limit on all roads prior to a national rollout in April 2023.

Some of the main arteries into the town have been designated 20 mph but it is causing chaos with huge tailbacks, road rage and people overtaking in dangerous areas.

The local council and Welsh government are saying that the local community were consulted about the change over the last two years (when we were in the middle of a pandemic)

according to a local Facebook group set up it appears that no-one in the community had in fact been consulted.

What I am wondering is has there ever been a legal precedent regarding this issue whereby due process and procedure has not been followed therefore nullifying the change of speed limit.

Any answers or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Dave.
