Hi to all,

Kensington were asked if there was PPI added to a mortgage. The account was repaid over 15 years ago.

After numerous follow up phone calls to numbers which don't exist, given by their customer services who can't help either,

one last call to cust servs and a more helpful reply! He advised over six years will need an SAR as the data not kept openly on their system

in line with the date protection act. They could have advised this weeks ago.

1. Is there a best known email address to use for this company to get the complaint in speedy please.

Will have to complain about PPI added as can't wait for SAR reply.

2. Should the Ombudsman and FCA be sent a complaint today and their best email address please.

It's clear the regulators see this company as a tricky company to deal with.

Much thanks

Make a request for the SAR immediately but at the same time also make a formal request for the refunding of PPI. Make sure that this API request is in a separate letter or email so that there is no confusion. Send the request by email and also send it by next day recorded delivery so that you have very clear evidence that you have beat the deadline.

By getting in before the deadline at least you reserve your position. Tell them also that you want this to be taken as a formal complaint and that if it is not dealt with then you want to refer to the ombudsman.

simply go up on their [Kenny's] website and register the PPI complaint on their PPI link page - NOW

don't put any other details bar you believe it was mis-sold [don't give a reason]

and an sar is forth coming too.

you don't need to inform the fos no.

Reply received from Kensington confirms PPI was sold by a Broker who does not exist now, so not their responsibility. I expect Kenny got a commission from the insurance company though. Their response is try the FSCS.

There's no address or contact telephone number on the reply letter from Kensington. The regulators should make it compulsory to have full contact details on letters sent from any financial company.

The fight begins!

To clarify, I wasn't saying you or CAG have suggested FSCS,  I was just passing on I rang the FSCS today as Kenny gave guidance to contact them. Glad I did for the person i'm helping, as a quick phone call confirmed because it's pre 2005 the FSCS can't help.

It's straight onto the underwriters now
