  1. To me it all seems to be about the definition of what the word 'rules' means. What happens when the 'rules' are broken? Rules can be an ambiguous analogy for those who choose to bend them. Rules and laws are important because they help to obtain and continue a balanced level of safety, fairness, order and justice. Rules help us learn and prepare for living in a wider society. If the rules were blurred for the Gov gatherings the phrase common sense comes to mind for those who participated. There were others who didn't attend because they had common sense of the rules. My thought on this case one rule for one and one rule for another.
  2. Sad to know Pele has died. A fashion legend and a football legend.
  3. I’ll find out what paperwork has been kept. Thinking of how these companies carry on, would you receive notification of any court proceedings whereby you’d receive paperwork to defend or is there a clandestine way private parking notices are dealt with. I hope that’s not the case.
  4. Thanks DX that's prompted me to have a read of this after looking up POFA2012 https://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/AOS/AOS_CoP_June_2013_update.pdf
  5. The initial appeal was sent to Civil E back in Feb when the notice first received. Not to DCBL. I'm helping a friend as where the situation is now.
  6. Appeal sent to Civil Enforcement the ANPR parking company. Was rejected. There was no offer of opportunity to pay for the extra half hour. Friend parking in a leisure centre went over the three hour free parking and was inside the venue all the time. Was not aware of three hour restriction on free parking as was always free to venue users in the past, no restriction if using the facilities.
  7. Is there a time limit a debt collection agency, used by the parking company, can send demand letters to pay after the original date when parked please. At the moment the time after the parking date is 6 months.
  8. Interesting thought on this 'Never apologise, never explain' turns out to be right - The Post UNHERD.COM “Never apologise, never explain” is one of those phrases that has ended up being attributed to Winston Churchill, like everything. It may have originally been said by Victorian Oxford scholar Benjamin Jowett, along with “Get it...
  9. The Bojo way seems to be Never apologise never explain which is accredited to Winston Churchill. Similar attributes?
