Missed calls from unknown numbers.

Had a couple of numbers ringing me up but I don't answer as I do not recognise who they are from, could be a [problem], I mean they could leave a message but never do

Make a note of the numbers and then check them out on the Internet. You might find out who they are from.

Maybe its a firm of solicitors tring to contact you to give you a massive inheritance from a long lost relative.

 

Answer one, you can aleays ring off its if not.

Going to take a punt and guess it is one or more of the following:

 

• PPI reclaim
  
• Free boiler scheme and/or other energy "solutions".
  
• Oven cleaning service
  
• uPVC windows

There are fewer of these calls these days. Most are from abroad and they sometimes put a made up number to avoid tracing on 1471.

Number comes up from Aldershot, also have just had one call showing up as coming from Barnsley, looks like land line numbers.

Why don't you put the numbers up here for us all to see – or are you trying to protect them?

they often use skype which come through as a landline but when you call them back you cannot connect.

The latest dodgy wheeze is a company pretending to be the Telephone Preference Service saying your registration is about to expire and you have to give your card detials to ensure it continues. They then help themselves to the contents of your bank account. TPS doesnt expire and is free of course.
