I've just checked my credit report on Equifax, Experian and Noddle. There is no record of this loan on my credit report.....Does this mean it no longer exists or what? I am confused....

well there most prob wont be if it was defaulted more than 6yrs ago.

 

 

All references to a defaulted debt must be removed from your credit files after 6 years

has passed from date of default, whether paid off or not.

This is so that someone who continues paying something

- even after 6 years from default

- should not be at a disadvantage to someone who pays nothing after default
