The fact is WHEN I get a job (no telling how long it will be) INGEUS WILL NOT be taking any credit for it, it will be MY HARD WORK. So if they think they will be hassling me when I am back in employment so they can get a bonus for doing nothing they will be in for a shock.

Although I believe that the these providers are a complete waste of money overall and do very little to actually help I think you do need to ask what help they may consider they have supplied. For example, are you sing a C.V. that they helped create, are you using a website that they have suggested, have you used any of their resources i.e phones, paper, stamps etc . Have they directed you to any of the useful online resources. Sometimes little things can add up to make the difference between getting that job and not.

 

I know what people may say, I do not think my C.V. they helped create is good so use a different one ( a family member is a careers adviser) . I have found my own resources on the internet, my hour a week at in training is spent helping other people in my group log on and use the computer, but it keeps them happy

6. You paid for your own clothes for interview as well as travel costs

 

As far as I can see this will be the case with me WHEN I get a job so I have no intention of giving INGEUS any credit whatsoever and will simply sign off and start my employment. They certainly WILL NOT be getting employer details from me.

As far as I know yes that is right.

If you take the points above I would be 100% against them getting a dime when you get a job

 

However, the initial aim was for them to help the long term sick and unemployed back into work and from personal experience many of these need all the help they can get. I personally resent having to go as I am on ESA so classed as not able to work but maybe at some point in the future. Of course if I refuse to go I get my benefits sanctioned.

 

I am expected to be there for 9am which does sound reasonable but as I suffer from really quite bad insomnia , in fact last week I did not sleep at all the night before I went I do feel it is a challenge.

 

As for giving them details, if that is a fight you feel is right for you then go for it. Personally I have bigger fights that take my energy and are more important to me

This might be a dead thread - but wanted to say something about this very issue 2 guys knocked on my employees door today describing themselves as being from the department for works and pensions. She lives in a big house and lives alone with other people she hardly knows living in other parts of the house, one of the renters of the other rooms in the house, knocked on her flat door and said there are 2 guys who she did not like the look of or trust, wearing suits and looking like bailiffs at the main front door to the flats.

 

So my employee went down stairs and was confronted (she is a small 5 foot woman), with 2 imposing guys who then said with no ID etc, that they where from Ingeus and she had better tell them who her employer is or she would be in trouble and that she was also legally obliged to tell them. She said no and after a bit of please remove your foot from my door and imposing actions and stern words and looks etc, they left but said they would be back.

 

Now as her employer, I gave her the job,

1. so as to get her away from Ingeus, who where bullying her and driving her to suicidal thoughts (I kid you not), she is also a friend

and

2. I actually HATE these kind of profiteering companies at the tax payers expense (I would never own shares in a company that operated in this fashion).

 

So Ingeus say's that she must tell them who I am or more to the point the company she is employed by (NOT TRUE), THEY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HER GETTING THIS JOB AT ALL.

They have also harassed her constantly with phone calls, using many different tactics, trying to get her to divulge her employers name.

 

All this so Ingeus can fill in some f'ing paperwork, so as to get paid some bonuses for finding her work, WHICH THEY DID NOT.

 

They can not claim to be from the DWP, they can not say she is legally obligated, they can not turn up at the front door and bully you in to disclosing your employers name.

 

This only happened today, so I wanted to post this, for both her and my sanity, we are considering are next move - I have always been a supporter and admirer of CAG and just wanted to share this.

Thanks for your support - she was suicidal when she had to attend Ingeus, they really did treat her like their puppet, go here, do this or we will sanction you = no money = pretty much no shelter and no food = death in our society. When you have that kind of Damocles sword hanging over your head everyday, then her thoughts where, it is better to just end it, rather than go on living like this. The types of jobs she was told she had to take or else, where horrible and involved lots of travel time etc, she can't drive and in effect she would have been working for nothing (again).

 

The poor and uneducated have been setup by the system for a very very long time to be nothing more than mindless drones catering to the will of the system.

 

The system has set up an entire generation of people to comply with the elites will without question. A really good example of this can be seen, if you just watch 5 minutes of a film called "Our Day Out", it's free to watch on Youtube (type in

OUR DAY OUT PART 5

 

and take onboard these words, do you really think people would empty bins and stand on production lines if they had been given a real choice + nobody wants to educate these kids, because lets face it, if they did, then who would do all the crap jobs.

 

Anyway I despise this system, they are making tax payers pay money to a company that then bullies people in to becoming complicit with the MAN's will and these poor people are given 2 choices - comply or you will be left to die because you have no money. The MAN and his mates have actually set people up to pay for their own oppression whilst having figured out how to profit from it all and spin it to us all, as hey look at us, we are doing this good thing for you all and getting all these people in to work

 

I am much more from the Zeitgeist train of thought.

 

We all need to wake up and understand that the mind games being played on us all by this 1% is so bad that they will not stop, until they control every aspect of our lives. What they want is an entire world of micro managed mindless drones complicit to their will and if you question it, then you will be in trouble.

As a businessman / woman in your position godnoway I would spend a couple of hours on the phone and online contacting fellow business people about Ingeus and other dodgy W2W firms. Make sure they do not inform any provider where their newest employees are working. This is a hindrance to you and your business not to mention the stress it puts a valuable employee under.

 

 

Of course this intimidation and harassment smacks of sheer desperation on the part of Ingeus. It also puts paid to any myth that the WP is working. If it were, then the W2W providers would not be so utterly desperate to gain information about where their former 'clients' are now working.

Yes indeed. More importantly the question would be whether the WP will be still be viable after the election, irrespective of which government comes to power. Sadly W2W providers such as G4s, Avanta, Reed, A4e attend the major political conferences these days. Their reps no doubt schmooze up to government ministers and their opposition shadows with a view to their poor levels of service continuing under any future administration. Whatever the Tories of Labour do with the WP such as turning it into WP 2.0 or New Deal Mk III, these W2W providers will be in there like a rat up a rusty pipe soliciting for work and submitting their bids.

 

 

New Deal was a monumental failure. As was Flex. New Deal. The WP is failing right now as we speak costing £BILLIONS to boot. Is it any coincidence that the same firms by and large are involved in every one of these failing 'back to work' schemes? Maybe they have no right to know or visit you BUT why are you so dead set against them knowing?

 

I really can't see a problem with telling them, after all I suspect you are paying tax and NI so therefore the CIA will know where you work...and yes I know the CIA is American

As others have noted, you are under no obligation to engage with them.

 

Mind you (and might it "get them off your backs"?), I doubt you are under any obligation to give them a truthful answer, and an answer might pacify them.

 

Why not tell them you are employed as a bar steward, by a branch of a chain of bars. Head Office is:

It may take until after the imminent General Election, but hopefully they will write to confirm it, and someone responsible for (or in) said bar will ask a visiting MP why Ingeus are trying to put down the details for the Stranger's Bar (to which the public have no access unless invited) in the Houses of Parliament.
