  1. I have paid a rent deposit. If I go ahead and witthold rent surely the landlord will use my rent deposit to cover it. I paid a large sum for the lease, and I'm abit reluctant to witthold rent so early on. I guess I will have to be more persistent with the calls and consider to attempt to personally go to his office.
  2. Hi Landlord does not have an agent. Prior to me buying the lease, refurbishment on the exterior was started, since buying the lease all exterior refurbishment has stopped. It has been left unfinished for 2 months. Tools and material have been left inside my shop. Also I need consent from landlord for new fascia and signs on the exterior which I have highlighted in my letter.
  3. Hi Since buying a lease for a commercial business I have yet been able to make contact with my landlord. I have phoned the number the landlord provided leaving messages which i assume were passed to him. I have also sent 2 letters via royal mail special delivery to his registered address which he has also provided me. It has been almost 2 months now and I am yet to receive a reply. How do I resolve this without becoming a 'problem' tenant. I have paid rent and been extremely patient but now I have had enough of being treated this way and I feel he is deliberately ignoring me. Any advice, help would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.
  4. hi all I have been fortunate enough to find work a year ago. Upon finding work I signed off JSA and that was that. However Ingues have been persistent to ask me for employer details etc. After missing calls, not replying to emails they sent me a letter telling me if I don't phone them back, they will visit my home to ask for a employment update. There is still a year left on my '2 year programme' that I signed. Should I just avoid the hassle and tell them or if they come tell them to p*ss off.
  5. Yes, they are aware. BG have asked me to send the lease via email to them, I told them that I am in the middle of acquiring the lease for the business and would be unable to provide it before F2F go to apply for the warrant which is on the 22nd.
  6. I have taken a meter reading and have also spoke to BG. Since the current owner owes a lot of money they have requested I send them a copy of the lease and they can do a change of tenancy and create a new account for myself. I told them that the lease is still in the process of being finalized.
  7. I am in the process of buying a business. The current owner (the seller) has allowed me to begin trading at the business until the paperwork has been complete. I have been there for a month and the lease is nearly complete A company named Face 2 Face (authorized officers of British Gas) have issued me with a warrant notification stating they will be applying for a warrant to enter the business and disconnecting the supply. They have given me details on where the court is etc and the time of hearing. Is there any way I can stop this from happening? I'm currently in the business, waiting for the lease to be finalized. The current owner owes British Gas money but I will be the new owner of the business soon. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated
