lowell group chasing a debt

Hi guys

I have just had a call off Lowell group of companies its regarding an old debt. I never answered the call As I didn't know the number however it was a local area code how do they do that and is it allowed

I know that I have had DCA's using all sorts of numbers. I know they can not use with held numbers and my feeling would be that the rulings on Harrison v Link might apply

Lowells have a raft of mobile numbers all starting 079007422 i;ve had endings 40, 56. 62,24,57, 50 72 71 oh and

I've had a lot if texts off the above numbers but my mobile allows number barring.curiosity got the better if me so I rang number from payphone and the number was not recognised.that is the number that showed up as a local area code

some companies i.e. provident use near 100 different numbers incl your local area code.

They do that when phone is switched off such as out of office hours. I bet they only do outgoing calls otherwise people might phone them and harass them.

Matters not!

A formal complaint to the OFT and a definite complaint to Ofcom for the misuse of the communications network, if they ring again and you answer, just laugh and hang up, get onto your phone provider and go through their malicious calls procedure, if you have to change your number, then sue the clown outfit who forced you to do so.
