Hi All I haven't been on in a while but i have been doing some ppi reclaiming and have had success with Egg Lloyds and a very old TSB account. However I'm not having much luck with Welcome and aviva. I wrote my complaint to Welcome who investigated and told me they had gone bust but my policy was with Aviva so try those. i have and over the weekend they turned down my complaint. told me i can take it further if i don't agree with their outcome. also in a separate letter they offered me £90.27 can anyone shed some light as why they would offer this it is nothing to do with them

Everyone in the industry would prefer a private buyer this way we move with new technology. If it were to be nationalised the investment would not be there. So as a worker i would prefer a private buyer. Its not a failed industry far from it. Just the goverment allowing foreign companies to run our power supllies and charging double what they do in Europe. Its a bit like when we bailed the banks out. I didnt have enough savings for it to effect me personally but yet they used my taxes on that. So what is the difference?

As i currently work for the said steel company at one their specialised steel plants. I know we do not export China however these tariffs will have a detremental effect on Tata as those companies who do export there will stop and resell in our markets at possibly a cheaper price. Therefore jeopardizing the other tata sites. Unfortunately the goverment as been way to slow to react as was their predecessors. As we have been making a loss for a lot longer than is being advertised. Now all the talk if assisting a new buyer with cheaper energy and various other loans and offers. Why could they not do this years ago when Tata said they were struggling. It sounds daft but its a bit like switching between Sky and Virgin if you were loyal to one you get nithing but if you join the other you will get all sorts thrown at you as a sweetner. Instead of just giving you a better deal for staying loyal.

Hello everyone im bringing back to light this case. Due to a changes in my life. I never finished paying off the account i dont dispute debt but do dispute the amount. over the weekend i received a letter from bryan carter who as been instructed to open a court case to reclaim outstanding amounts. It doesnt seem to be a normal threatogram. So im a little concerened. At the moment it does say IF they goti court. My question is should i send anything in response now to try and nip it in the bud or wait until i recieve some court papers. As i have read on another site about requesting various statements and assignments to nip mr carter intge bud before he gets started. Many thanks For all your help again

On the news now we have announced 1200 losses. And the company is also reviewing other plants with cost saving in mind. It will end steelmaking in Scotland. This is the tip of the iceberg. The 1200 announced could possibly treble with all the jobs linked downstream with the outside conpanies that supply the steelwoeks. It looks like this once great country will become a non manufacturing country and instead will be a nation where we all will work in the service industry. For a third of the wage we currently earn.

The goverment can assist and help save the industry. Like they did with the banks and dont fortget the banking issue was caused by the banks. As for the steel they can stop cheap dumping by taxing heavily all cheap imports like the americans did laat year. They could put us into temporary public ownership to be sold at a later date. Or something easier and subsidise the energy cost for large users which currently the uk cost for energy is amongst the highest in the world. Most of our european neighbour's have cheaper energgy which puts us at an unfair disadvantage. Even our company is trebling its capacity in india and the netherlandswhilst cutting back in the uk. They are openly blaming high energy prices and green tAxes.

I work in the steel industry. There are only around 30000 of us left in the uk. This week 1 in 6 is likely to get made redundant due the dumping of cheap chinese steel. That is 1800 at Camparo today 2200 at Redcar last week and another announcement from our company tomorrow of another 1200 jobs to go. We have seen the market get filled with cheap steel from china that is not upto the standards we make or supply in the western world. We see reports everyday of yet more steel failing because of substandard supply. It beggars belief that a conservative goverment can jump into bed with the chinese award high value contracts for hs2 and Hinckley point without knowing what kind of steel will be used and whether or not it will be upto the standard that any British manufacturer could supply. We should forget they are renowned dor producing cheap imitations and their is no different yet this is going to lay railway line and a nuclear power station and should the steel fail the consequences will be dire. Sorry for the rant but i may be 1 of those people who loses my job for the sake of the goverment making friends...

Today my adjudicator as upheld my complaint he as asked wonga to refund all interest and late fees from all my loans. It helped that wonga never even had the decency to answer his request for info. Im not sure how much but looking through my statements i had 11loans from them anywhere between 300 1200 pounds. Hopefully i will get that back but not holding my breath just yet...

That was my mistake as I thought I signed a credit agreement with O2 when I bought the phone. As they now give you a 0% loan for the phone and a separate agreement with the airtime. I willask for the statement of account
