Noting the branding on a cinemas car park, I parked to watch a film. Not noticing any clear notifications to pay, they clearly are there. Naturally this is a Br2ttaN3a managed carpark. I now have two letters. 1. Letter before action from the dubious BW 2. A final 16 day demand before court. I have done the following but have had no response. 1. Recorded delivery letter to parking management company, asking for evidence, print outs, and offence. 2. Recorded delivery letter to BW asking for data restriction. ( they replied saying not applicable ) 3. Letter to my MP 4. Letter to the cinema asking for them to make their signs to the car park clearly state you have to pay - and to step in and make contact. I enclose the two letters. I have sent a follow up email to the cinema stating I will write to the board and the local press - and that my complaint is under unfair contracts. Hi, Last week my husband took the children and an elderly relative for a bite to eat and to the cinema. After entering the car park it took him a while to find a suitable parking space big enough to get our elderly relative out the car and also get our son out of his car seat. They then went to get some food, went to the cinema, returned to the car and left the car park. Today we have received a pcn from parkingeye saying that we were allowed a maximum of 3 hours but the time from entering to exiting the carpark was 3 hours and 16 mins. In all honesty he didn’t actually realise that there was a 3 hour limit and due to him spending most of the time in the cinema we were quite surprised as some films can be 2 1/2hr plus long, not including purchasing tickets etc. is there anything we can do or should we just pay the parking charge?

Hi, I've had a listing removed from eBay - apparently it was reported by Sky Media. There is no real reason as to why the item has been removed just that 'please not (sic) that this item is not allowed on our site.' and 'for more information read the help pages or contact Sky directly.' The item in question was a Now TV Sky Cinema pass - I bought another couple of Now TV boxes before Christmas and didn't need the passes. As far as I'm aware the listing was compliant with eBay rules - item to be posted via Royal Mail, so not a 'digitally delivered item' or 'non-physical goods'. I believe Now TV is a subsidiary company of Sky - but they don't own it directly? The link to contact Sky and for more information is: https://business.sky.com/fighting-fraud/ when you look at this it only mentions Sky Sports, about illegal use of Sky Sports programming and Unauthorised foreign broadcasts - nothing to do with what I was selling. I believe when listings are removed like this it is because the company concerned are a member of eBay VeRO - 'Verified Rights Owner' programme or something. I've read in the past that companies basically abuse this, eBay remove all listings that they report which could be for a multitude of reasons. On the list of VeRO members (UK is toward the bottom of the page) I can't see Sky listed http://vero.ebay.com/ I hate such bullying by large companies - I've spent a while on live chat to eBay but they are adamant that I need to contact Sky and that 'if Sky allow me to sell the item, I can pass the communication onto them'. They won't give me a copy of the report, a specific number to call for eBay listing removals - nothing. It feels very much like a big bully boy company (Sky) dictating an item can't be sold to another large multinational (eBay) who simply bow to them - no mistakes, no appeals etc. What can I do? Me and my partner booked tickets online to see Fantastic Beasts and where to Find them. On the Odeon Guildford website it stated that the 8pm viewing was subtitled. (We are both deaf and need subtitles to follow a film) We turned up on the night of the screening, 18th November 2016. I always check before we go into the screening that it is actually subtitled as in the past we go, only to be told there are no subtitles. I ask the staff, is the film at 8pm subtitled? He goes on to say no. I ask why? He avoids the question a number of times. I ask him again, and ask 'why not add the subtitles?' Its really is not difficult to do- (popular films delivered to cinemas USUALLY contain a subtitle track. Cinemas can switch this subtitle track on or off, like a DVD player or Sky box, BUT cinemas prefer to SCHEDULE subtitled shows in advance, so everyone knows a particular show is subtitled.) I ask him again, and the guy says 'people don't like subtitles.' I was upset and angry by this point, and I said I'd like to speak to the manager. He then says he IS the manager. I was even more shocked as this came out of the words of the manager. He could have been a bit more tactful. It clearly breaches the Equality Act. The subtitles weren't cancelled due to technical failure but because they decided to discriminate against a minority, whilst pleasing the larger minority (the hearing people) after specifically advertising the film as being accessible for that minority. It was an evening trip wasted, we planned in advance only to be hugely disappointed. We were refunded, and given two free cinema tickets and an apology, but that is not good enough. It was an injury and insult to our feelings, to be turned away just because we are deaf. Hearing people have the privilege of turning up to watch films when they like. Deaf people have restrictions - we can only see films that are shown subtitled. We've suffered as a consequence on the basis of characteristic (disability) which is protected under the equality act 2010. I have tweeted this, emailed the cinema, and am awaiting a response. I hope they don't get off lightly, I will make sure of that. I have proof of booking confirmation when I booked my tickets, which also shows the proof of it being captioned. But no proof unfortunately of the manager saying 'people don't like the subtitles.' I do though, have a witness. I am new to this forum, and so hi to everyone I am not sure what else to do, feel at a bit of a loose end and would appreciate some help and guidance on what to do next. Many thanks.

Hello all, This year I have got a parking ticket when I came to see a movie. Apparently the car park just in front of cinema doors belongs to another Bingo company and is controlled with UKPC. I didnt even noticed small signs saying its the car park just for Bingo registered users only and after the movie found a NTD. It was issued 9-4-2016 with 100£ fine. Back home I went through the forums and threads looking for information and noticed that the best thing is just ignore it. in 10-05-2016 I received NTK from UKPC reminding me their fees which I also ignored. After 15 days another letter came up with Final reminder to pay and that I burn in hell. There was a paragraph sounding like this: "Your vehicle was in breach of the terms and conditions of parking which were clearly and prominently displayed and agreed by the driver when your vehicle was parked on private land. Despite issuing Parking Charge and writing to you previously we (UK Parking Control) have not received payment . If, after a period of 14 days, (beginning with the day after this notice is given) the amount requested in this notice has not been paid in full the charge will be passed to debt recovery. If necessary, County Court proceedings will be commenced against you for the amount outstanding, interest and court costs. If the Court orders Judgment against you and payment of that Judgment is not made this may affect your ability to borrow money or obtain credit in the future. A warrant may also be issued by the Court's appointed bailiff to recover the payment. At this point you would also become liable for the additional fees of the bailiff." I ignored that too. On 10-06-2016 I have received letter from DRP (Debt Recovery Plus Ltd) which sounds like this: "Demand for payment of an unpaid parking charge £160.00 Our client has written to you recently about the unpaid parking charge detailed above. As they have not received payment, they have referred the matter to us for collection. Supreme Court of the United Kingdom - landmark court decision On 4th November 2015 a landmark judgment was handed down in favour of a parking operator who took a motorist to court for non payment of a typical parking charge. This case was seen as an important 'test case' due to the complex legal arguments used by both sides. The ruling sets a legally binding precedent on all similar cases for the whole United Kingdom. You now need to pay the amount due of £160. Please make sure that your payment reaches us no later than 20/06/2016. You can pay online.. waffle waffle... Seems my personal injury claim has now reached settlement so i thought i would treat myself. I do not ask for much but i do like my movies on a big screen with a decent sound system. I cannot get about much so i am looking at home cinema. After having a Sony and Samsung home cinema system in the past which was naff, i am determined to buy separate speakers and a separate AV amp. Looking on the richer sounds web site, Sound bars and a sub-woofer seem all the rage at the moment My question is are they any good (Sound bar and Sub-woofer) compared to separates as stand alone units
