I am paying via ARC and have the original l oan but extension as defaults on my credit file. The extension is only for £160 so once I've paid that amount to ARC I'd like that default settled. note my account has been assigned not sold to ARC.

 

Online chat:

Me: I would like information about my two loans ASSIGNED (not sold) to ACR: xxx for £160 and xxx for £660. I am paying ARC therefore the payments are bing reflected on my credit file. Once I have paid £160 can loan xxx be settle please.

 

Me: aren't not are

 

Tamara: I will be happy to assist you.

 

Tamara: Unfortunately, the status of the loans will remain in the status that is was in before being handled by ARC. The account will not show as settled with us. Since you are making payments with ARC the obligation will be satisfied with ARC.

 

Me: Not settled even when paid off!

 

Tamara: That is correct.

 

Me: I understand it will still say default but should say satisfied at least

 

Tamara: The loan will not show as satisfied as the loan was not paid.

 

Me: I am paying it off now, the account is assigned not sold on

 

Me: I do understand that payments are being made to ARC, but we no longer have the account so the status will remain as it is now.

 

Me: you do still have the accoutn as its NOT beeon sold to ARC just ASSIGNED all payment are coming to you via ARC they confirm that as well as anything I ask them they have to come back to you

 

Me: if you no longer habe my account then my aco**** should be closed on my credit file which it isn't!

 

Tamara: Thank you for waiting. I'll be with you in just a moment.

 

Tamara: I apologize for the inconvenience, but unfortunately, the account will reflect the default status that is was in prior to be forwarded to ARC.

 

Me: Please go back to your managers and sell my account to ARC then,as with the information you are stating my account with YOU should be sold on and closed

If the debt becomes settle, then they have to report it as settled. If they dont, then write a letter to their compliance manager, and complain to the ICO.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

See they don't know what they are talking about. ARC only have it as one loan so I'm trying to get QQ to assign the money to the lowest loan first.
