hi people.. im new here.. but i have regularly been around reading the info you spread and i am really pleased how a community can come together to help each other :)

i wanted to know how i should tackle a particular problem im faced with..

im helping my best friend who has landed his self in a right old mess..

he has a number of debts,,

2 with car finance companies who subsequently repossessed the cars..

a couple of loan debts which have accumulated over the year..

and a few credit card overdrafts..

what would be the best way to tackle and resolve his debts?

for example,

would i start by sending them all a letter asking to have the unfair charges removed

so i can have the true debt and then arrange for him to pay that?

thank u in advance

how much of the car finances had he paid?

as for the loans and CC's

check his cra file first

get the true picture

then p'haps look at SAR's to investigate PPI/charges.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

certainly an SAR to each 'creditor' will in the long run be useful.

remember many creditors will be in a 'group'

so it maybe that say 'one' SAR to lloyds will tell you everything under the lloyds group of creditors have.

as for 'last payments'

when were they, there is a 6yrs limit for creditors to being able to 'enforce' they get their money.

cra file might be an idea!

noddle is free - see below.
