Hi all advice needed please.

I left Dubai at the end of 2016. with a small amount of debt left on credit cards and bank. Tried to make agreements to pay and made some payments. Contacted by Taheel to make a fixed final offer to which i would have settled. Taheel then stopped responding to my emails and i have heard nothing since.

I have stared to receive contact from IDR requesting a large sum of money.

The latest letter includes a financial statement but is not a statutory demand.

my take home pay is around £1900 a month with rent and current commitments totalling £1600, I do not own or have a mortgage on any property.

As i have nothing they could actually take to settle the amount should i respond and complete the financial statement or continue to ignore?

have you ever written to the original banks giving them your UK address in WRITING?

if not you need to do so else you risk backdoor CCJ.

are any of the recent letters (ignore email totally stop using it and block everyone that sends one) entitled letter of claim with a reply pack wanting things like I&E in return, giving 30 days to reply.?

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I haven't written to the original bank with the correct address but they have been writing to the correct address and this has been my constant address since before i moved out to Dubai. I will write to them now and record the delivery.

No letter received is entitled Letter of Claim

Don’t engage IDR or even contact them. Just ignore everything they send.

yes dont ever contact them in any form.

but dont ignore everything from 'IDR'

if its a letter of claim or say a court form via them stating it's statutory demand attempt pop back here.
