While looking for something else, I came across this website that offers free tution on the following:

Getting Started

Computer Basics

Windows - 98, XP, 7

Internet 101

Internet Explorer 8

Facebook 101

Email Basics

Internet Safety

Internet Safety for Kids

Mozilla Firefox

Using Office Software

Word - 2000, 2002(xp), 2003, 2007, 2010

Excel - 2000, 2002(xp), 2003, 2007, 2010

PowerPoint - 2000, 2002(xp), 2003, 2007

Access - 2000, 2002(xp), 2003, 2007

Office - 2000, 2002, 2003

Open Office - Writer, calc, Impress

Outlook 2003

Publisher 2003

This isn't the usual 'quick look not really tell you anything' website, this is real tuition. I have had a look at a couple to the Office Software lessons and they are really good in their layout, depth and the way you are instructed with videos as well as text.

It's a charity site but has a real professional setup.

There is 'no' catch where they ask for payments of any kind.

It has to be worth a look for anyone who wants to learn how to use one of the above applications.

Looks good, You may also find that your local authority, local college may run a 'basic' PC course(s). If you are not working you may well be elligible for lots more courses, i recent completed a CompTIA A+ IT support course for free.
