CAG Site upgrade - thread 1

Which browser are you using? I know someone using AOL 9 is having problems starting a new thread - I'm wondering if it's a browser-specific problem

 

"Reply to thread" should open a reply box at the bottom of the thread, and scroll down to it. Could it me that the box is appearing, but you're not being scrolled down to it?

Kip, I'm on Chrome, and this is where it is for me, pretty much where it always was:

Another couple of little moans from me, if typing a post in advanced mode and you click a smiley, it appears to the right of your cursor and you cannot scroll right to type after it.

and still no spellcheck in edit post... and thats the reason I normally edit my post!

 

Are we talking about the spellchecker which some browsers now have built in? I don't see a spellcheck in the advanced mode editor

I think he's found the button - it's when he clicks it, it brings up a partially blank page

 

(that bit between the forum name and the stickies looks a bit messed up in Chrome)

Actually, Webby, you see the screenshot I have posted to help Kip? The "forum tools" part, used to be a drop-down, now it's not, thereby taking quite a bit of the page, is that fixable?

Yes, the inbuilt spellchecker. Green tick infront of ABC, on the right on the quick reply, included in the main group of icons in "go advanced" but missing from editing posts

Snap, yes, i think it's because the not-drop-down makes the blue band take more space, which is exactly what I meant in my previous post. nothing like one picture to explain 1000 words, hey?

Erm, I've lost my pages bit at the top right?? I can't go back or forward at al, and because the main forum page just gives 12345...19 (or whatever page we're on now, I can't get to the older posts from there eitherl:(

Nonono!!! Page numbers not showing!! It's fine for the chat threads but if I can't go to anything other than the first five or absolute last page of important fast moving ones this is not going to be good.

I admit I'm completely flummoxed.

 

I'm trying to send an urgent PM, but I can't input the recipient or even reply to a PM (also, cant seem to change the colour of the font)

 

Can't get to the last page of my thread.

 

Can't find 'search the forums' for new posts or threads.

Ok, went to quote and highlight part of your post (made me chuckle btw:)), and it's bought up another small point that I seem to have lost the ability to change font, text size and colour.

 

On the plus side because of this it's much neater on the advanced post page - well done Webby:) On the downside I can't do any of the above mentioned stuff at the mo:rolleyes:

 

ps - like the undo/redo function. Have we always had that or is it new?
