The case will be heard before a circuit judge and then presumably appealed in the Court of Appeal. I emailed Max Clifford on Wednesday, we live in hope. I intend to seek publicity next week and am considering which media to use, press or television.Would like to have slogan short enough for T Shirt and also to be used as a email address. Happy for site to CAG moderators to contact me it is the last chance saloon and must be done properly. Even if I am only the face of a national campaign I will be happy just to close this argument for good. Will keep my eye out for the best logo but need to decide quickly. Is Martin Lewis all talk or will he join in, who knows.

Hi Tim

It's a brave stand financially that you are taking and my feeling is that you are going to have to take it alone as I doubt that any 'name' will back you or be seen as supporting you as they fear that the probable defeat will not add any glitter to their imagined stars.

Its going to be a lonely road if you do travel on it and the likelihood of gaining considerable financial support from this or any other similar site must be considered as slight at best.

Martyn Lewis has his faults and detractors but he is known and has the ear of the media so an approach to him might bear fruit.

Starting your own thread on here would give you more exposure rather than being buried as just another post on this thread.

Didn't think of uploading it. Thank you SFU.

In addition to that attached above, this is the supplement of the Opinion from Anthony Scrivener QC mentioned at paragraph 106.

edit: uploaded Opinion as well as it seems to have vanished from seriouslyfedup's previous post.

If theres a problem with the PDF's then a text version could be posted as it has been on MSE although it would take up a number of posts.

Hi Tim,

You want maximum exposure so don't just decide whether to use newspapers or tv. If I were you I would get as many tv companies, radio stations and newspapers you can possibly speak to who are willing to go with your campaign hopefully they will run with it and even support it. I do know both The Independent and The Daily Mail were ardent supporters of the bank charge reaclaim campaign. I also think you should approach your local tv and radio station as well as your local evening paper who I am almost certain will run with your story. Don't forget the internet as well. Can you private message me your email or phone number and I will do what I can to help. If this can be seen as a very worthy cause which will benefit millions of ordinary consumers and has a good chance of success then what you may find happen is more promiment donors stepping forward to help pay the legal bill.

I would certainly approach Martin Lewis, anything is worth a shot at this stage. You have nothing to lose by contacting him.

If it is , it's a conspiracy which needs exposing , and if Vince Cable is true to what he says this morning ,(about sorting the banks out ) then maybe this is the time to pursue it ...........

That's how conspirators get away with it , jdes26, because nobody opens it up ....... hopefully that's what this , and other sites, are about ...

The case which started this thread (Sharp v HBOS) has still to be heard - so Santander is a set back of one battle - but not a defeat in the war.

I believe Sharp can get legal aid - so not scared of losing and getting screwed for the Bank's charges.

Stop Press Max Cliiford feels sent an email, this is not his forte so must represent bankers

Doesn't surprise me tim....... .IMHO,Max Clifford is someone who exploits people who have been unfortunate enough to attract publicity ....he only goes for sure things ...... this would be way too risky for him ....... :(

Wouldn't put any hopes in Vince Cable, nice and sincere as he may be. Ultimately, it's what we the people decide and what we the people take action on that counts.

The power truly resides with us, if only we really understood it and set about using it in a persistent determined way.

The matrix is intrinsically flawed. Within it is the program for it's own destruction. If you are reading this, you are in the matrix and it's days are numbered...so watch out!

as many have said many times, direct action is required...

this site and mse site lose many supporters as they do not co-ordinate direct action... many are scared of consequences of say a march or a run on a bank? but what is the alternative .... millions of people ripped off forever... they can reword this many times but it will remain the same... new banks wont change anything..... 0845 and 0870 and 0800 numbers from mobiles these should also be looked at.... as more and more people use mobile telephones these numbers have sprouted up like bank charges.... when we rely on things as their is little alternative then the companies will milk us for every penny they can....I bet in a few years the charges for using these numbers increases as they realise they can get away withit???? sound familiar

Only direct action by the masses will work....

Look at all successes they have never come from negotiation!!!
