Very sadly I can't come to the CAG meet :( and I was really looking forward to it. Oxford would be fine, but my sister has very kindly booked and paid for panto tickets on the same day. Oh no she hasn't? Oh yes she has! :) If you are around for lunch the next day (and I can afford the petrol - who knows from one week to the next?) I could drive up then to at least say hello to some of my terrific friends on this site.

well ok oxford it is then, Are we sure,

We are sure it's Oxford and it's on the 12th but we don't know where in Oxford yet....

We also don't know who's going..

There were also rumours of there possibly being more than one meet but so far nobody's picked up the baton for that. :-|

Babybear, I hope you can make it :) It would be nice to put a face to the name!

I know the vast majority of Oxford's drinking establishments very well, I would imagine our location will be around George Street which is very central.

So I can book my Travellodge then? 6 weeks ahead gets a good deal.

I'll need to share again, anyone up for it - AND I have a supply of plastic wine glasses and plastic beer mugs to bring along - always seems to be a shortage of cups back in the hotel after the pubs shut!

Hi SG,

If you don't mind sharing with a silly old bat like me I'm game..:)... Unless of course Babybear is taking first dibs..

Let me know,

Spammy..:)

Sorry folks, Bookie bowing out, our local ladies wot lunch xmas karaoke do has been set and it's on the 12th too... and it will work out a darn sight cheaper than going to Oxford + accomodation etc. :-(

I'm sure you'll have a grand time anyway. :-)

Aah, but that's an investment dress, etc., for new BF - and I'm hoping he'll be coming with you after your narrow escape last year. :D

Can't remember if I posted this before so sorry if it's a repeat.

First drink: I'm me.

Third Drink: I'm somebody's

Fifth Drink: I'm anybody's

Seventh Drink: I'm nobody's.

But people seem to drink so much more now, so you have to adjust the figures to suit yourself.

DD
