thankyou, ive been going out of mind with worry over it all, they have been ringing between 4-6 times a day and come to the house once, i understand that the payments are overdue but i still think the way they hound customers is disgraceful. Especially when they target people who cant afford the arrears! thanks again x

Your best bet is to tackle this now, though.

Firstly, take off any insurance premiums from the arrears amount (if you read your contract, you'll find that these lapse when you miss a payment. Make sure you make it known that you do not want these reinstated when your account is brought up to date. OSC is easily removed, but you will need home contents cover to remove their damage cover)

Make an offer of installments. They can either freeze your account for a few weeks until you are up to date, or they can accept increased payments for x amount of weeks until the account is out of arrears. Do this sooner than later (and make sure you aren't paying their OSC premiums!)

Also, get home insurance. Chances are it will be less than you pay them for one item and your entire home contents will be covered. and once you have home insurance, you will not be in breech of your responsibility to have goods insured.

A couple of years ago i had a laptop off brighthouse, i hadn't had it long and it had to be repaired . I took into brighthouse so they could send it off

for repair, i kept phoning them to see where my laptop was, first they said it would take 2 weeks then it was six weeks. then they said i was a liar and i hadnt took my laptop in

there was no record of it like an idiot i never got a receipt cos i thought they were trust worthy. I complained to trading standers and they sorted it out and i got a brand new laptop off them free of charge and i didnt have to carry on paying for the one they'd lost.

they knew they were in the wrong cos when i asked for their area mangers phone number they refused to give it to me i think they were on the con and that they had me laptop had it fixed and re-soled it.

Never trust bright house or any company like them, they are con artists because i took them to trading standers i am now banned from having anything off bright house not that i would anyway
