Hi All

Not been on here for a while, just need a bit off advice on this.

Its been very quiet from 1st Credit, until today when i received a threatagram through the post :|.

They actually want money of me in full or else .

Just a quick reminder this account was a Halifax account, then in 2012 they sold it to 1st Credit.

Here's what the letter said that came to me today.

So just need a bit of advice on what to do next.

Almost a year to the day to get the threatomatic working, not bad!

Still as boring now as they were last year too.... :thumb:

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

Over limit fees, penalty charges?

Is it worth investigating these to see if their is a valid reclaim,

Would it not be good to find out that they owe YOU money?

Hi Gazza,

Do you have a copy of the Default Notice anywhere? The latest thinking seems to be that you have to add the time offered to remedy the "non-payment" to the date of the DN before it's SB, but I don't think anyone has yet been taken to court over this and had to defend it.

Discount offers are good news, as I'm sure you know.

I had a card which must be SB by now and last year I got about four letters offering me increasingly "attractive" discounts. Then I got statements telling me to deal directly with the DCA appointed to deal with my account - but there was no DCA!!!!

Hang in there.

ignore them

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

As you will see from the tiny print at the bottom, Gazza.. Connaught is not a "different" company at all, but part of 1st Credit. So despite their attempts to hoodwink you into believing this has been passed on to another company this is not true.

A misleading practice where a payday lender had to pay compensation if i recall

fire a complaint under ccobs to fos and complain to fca with copies of the letters

Hi Citizen

Thanks for looking at my thread, no you looked at this a few years back.

Last payment around August 2008, the default notice was not enough tome to reply.

Only an application for which is a different ref number to the one the fighting for.

So in all there's not a lot i think they can go on.

Watch this space :lol::lol:

Definitely cause for a loud formal complaint to the toothless bodies that claim to police them.

If the SLC were exposed for faking these letters then quite why these lot are allowed to continue this practice is beyond me!
